The room was small and featureless but clean. The internet worked ok. I had some stuff with me that needed to be refrigeration and the kindly put it the hotel fridge for me as there are none in the rooms. The staff were nice and I think a bit embarassed about the way the hotel is 'managed'.

The room windows were corroded and couldn't be locked. Bathroom microscopic. Brown water came out of the sink tap when I turned it on. The 'restaurant' is more like family kitchen, dirty plates and leftover food all over the tables. I went for dinner at 6.30 pm and was told the chef had gone out and the only food available was dumplings. Had to walk in the dark to the nearest alternative restaurant one kilometre away, and got chased by dogs. I git a taxi back, went to bed, then at 10pm children started running up and down the corridor outside my room screaming and playing with noisy musical toys. That lasted an hour, the I could sleep. At 0730 I answered a knock on the door to be given my breakfast which was piece of bread, a hard boiled egg and a glass of milk. I was kind of expecting to go to the restaurant for breakfast but after the previous night's experience I should have know better. By 0800 I had checked out and moved to a better (and cheaper) place.

Peta aand Mau were attentive and responsive to all of our needs on behalf of the owners. It was a relaxing place to stay with the ability to snorkel, swim and kayak from the wharf. We would stay again in a eartbeat.

Beautiful setting with unique accomodation. It is like staying in The Magic Faraway tree. All handcrafted any you can feel the care that went into every detail. Warm and accommodating hosts.

Sifi the host was very helpful about things to do around Tonga. We also had fun at his dart club where I met the oldest Prince of Tonga, the future King. How cool is that?

Wifi was weak or not available most days. Guests should have their own wifi Sim card.

The owners and staff were so nice that it made up for other small imperfections. The bed, the sheets and the pillows are the best!

Restaurant food was lovely, deck is a great place to sit, staff are fabulous and rooms very comfortable.

A handyman could fix a few loose fittings and broken blinds, and the free breakfast (Coffee and toast) could be better (try adding a protein such as eggs), but id certainly return!

It was so peaceful. Our room was very spacious and was practically on the beach with water views. Great aircon and huge bathroom. Very clean and tidy.

Room tired, quite basic, wifi didn’t work, restaurant couldn’t fit me in first night for dinner, a bit out of town (but still a pleasant stay)
