The place is beautiful and accurately described in many of the reviews. The garden is stunning and we were entertained by the little humming bird, the iguanas, the agouti and the geckos. We had a fabulous time and will certainly be back.

There were a few bugs in the room but this was only to be expected as the apartment was located next to the forest.

Built in a colonial style the house has lots of character - a huge air conditioned bedroom with nice terracotta tiles and a shower you could fit a small army inside. There's also a well-equipped kitchen and a large covered terrace (useful if, like us, you happen to be there in the rainy season) from which you can sit and view the wildlife (monkeys, iguanas, agouti and all kinds of birds from the comfort of your armchair or hammock. Playa La Vaca is just a 5 minute walk away for those wanting a more secluded beach but I would still recommend a car as it's a bit of a walk into the main part of town. Rosa was very welcoming and full of information on where to go and what to see.

Access. The last km is a mixture of paved road and stones. You need to go very slowly if you drive a sedan car. Also, payment is cash only, something we were not aware of.

Helpfulness of the host. Rosa went out of her way to book us a sailing tour at a good price and facilitate access to Manuel Antonio park. Quietness of the place.

The property has a great location. It is close to Manuel Antonio National Park and you can walk from the property down to a private beach as well! Rosa is very knowledgeable of the area if you’re looking for recommendations and she made us feel very welcome. I highly recommend staying here!

The amenities are plenty to make for the most comfortable stay and the surrounding nature and the nearby gardens are beautiful to reunite one with nature. There is a dirt road that you have to maneuver to get to the entrance, but it is a small price to pay for getting to this secluded paradise.

Rosa was the most amazing host we have ever experienced in all of our travels all over the world. The first night, even without our asking, she sat us down to plan our stay. She made arrangements and appointments for all the amazing activities in Manuel Antonio. The next morning she even drove with us to the park to make sure that we got a good parking space and meet the guide that she had arranged. This was service above and beyond anything we ever experienced. Her villa is dreamy. Quiet, beautiful, and fantastic. There were a lot of steps down to the apartment but she had someone there to take down our bags when we arrived and someone there to bring them up when we left. We will never forget this place or Rosa, who is really the main attraction.

We loved our stay! Rosa was wonderful. She was very informative and made our stay in the area top notch! Karibu is literally in the middle of the rain forest, complete with daily visits from iguanas and tapirs to squirrel monkeys and butterflies.

The road is not the easiest one, and there are some steps to the flat. The bathroom has a glass door so it is not for everyone. But(!) nothing made us regret that we booked this amazing place, it is one of the highlights of our trip, we wish we stayed longer. :)

When we arrived Rosa welcomed us with open heart. She gave us the full tour in the property showed us every lamp. Then she set us down for a brief of Costa Rica and the serroundings. She knows every place very well and we wish we met her Sooner. She helpe us with everything we needed, from recommendtions, parking space in the park, laundry to offering us her shoes to the rest of the trip! She is the best, she makes the place what it is. The place itself is big and very special. The room and the shower are huge. We loved the outside, the terrassa the garden the hammocks and the kitchen. We saw two agutins and iguanas. Its so close to everything you need in town and yet quiet.

This was a perfect stay.

We loved our stay at Rosa’s. The apartment, the terrace and the gardens surrounding the apartment were beautiful, spacious and tranquil with a wonderful view of the ocean. Rosa has thought of everything including a hammock. Rosa is very knowledgeable about Costa Rica generally and gave us great suggestions both for our stay with her and for our onward travels. While staying with her, Rosa arranged a wonderful hiking tour, organised free parking at the beach and arranged for our laundry to be done. We wish we could have stayed longer.

This apartment was by far the best place we have stayed at during our trip! The jungle is literally your backyard and you are surrounded by wildlife. The apartment itself is also beautiful. It has everything you could need and more. On top of it all, Rosa is an incredible host! She's so helpful and she told us a lot about Manuel Antonio, the wildlife of Costa Rica and more... It's been great getting to know her! We really wished we could've stayed longer. Gracias Rosa!

Private spacious place hidden in the nice garden, full of the animals, flowers and trees. Close to the Manuel Antonio main beach, 5 min by car. Also shops and the restaurants are in the touch. The owner Rosa is very smart, positiv and exceptional lady. You are not only unknown turist bringing money for her, and that is the big diferent and reason why Rosa is the special. Good luck Rosa!!

As the location is half km along a very rough track I would recommend that who ever stays at the accommodation should book a car for rental.

The accommodation was great. Great space and a huge veranda looking out on a wooded area visited by all sorts of wildlife. Accommodation was clean and roomy. Separate kitchen and a big shower. The property owner, Rosa, was more than helpful. She went well beyond what you would expect. She had loads of information and advice that made our stay much more enjoyable. At the end of the stay you feel you have made a good friend in Rosa. Cannot thank her enough
