I liked mostly everything about my stay but would of liked the hotel to have a restaurant in the property. It would be helpful to have room service.

Arenal Country was great! The staff were extremely polite and very helpful. The free breakfast included fresh fruits, and local food. It’s located about a mile from the center of the town La Fortuna but it felt like we were in the middle of the rainforest because of the landscaping and were surrounded by rainforest animals and sounds.

We had a great stay. The pool was sparkling clean and heated. The breakfast was delicious (eggs, pinto gallo, pancakes, fresh fruits. The staff was lovely and friendly. And the grounds were beautiful. We were glad to have this peaceful spot within walking distance of town.

The bed was definitely lacking in comfort. The mattress was extremely firm, not something you could plop down on and sink into.

Stunning grounds, great private short creek trail, variety of beautiful plants, incredibly landscaped, perfect breakfast, friendly staff, helped with tours, secure room and safe, nice A/C unit. We didn’t use the pool but it looked very inviting if there wasn’t a lightning storm.

This place was our lifesaver after fleeing from another accommodation that was not like advertised. Our host Vanessa was amazing and helpful from the moment we tried to book our accommodation till the moment we left. We saw a lot of birds, and hummingbirds, bats and squirrels on the property, which was awesome. The pool is really nice, and the place is quiet.

there is just one thing which is not their fault at all: and this is not about the hotel. this is about other guests. so, if you come here as a guest, please guys, be a little bit kind. also to other guests. there was a couple spitting in the pool and cleaning their shoes in the pool. guys, you know, other guests want to swim in it. an other couple had their sixpack of beer in front of children at 9 in the morning at the pool. yelling, drinking, starring at people in a strange way. you are guests. behave like. be respectful. thanks.

its a nice and quiet place a little bit out of town but you can walk into town in 10 min, the pool is so nice, the staff is nice and helpful, the breakfast is okay, the rooms are cozy.

The Wi-Fi in the room was spotty at best. The water in the shower did not keep a consistent temperature.

The grounds were beautiful with a nice pool and view of the volcano. The staff were so nice and attentive. We spent some time talking to the sweet owners who we met at the pool. They helped us see some toucans and gave an amazing dinner suggestion. The location was good. It is about a 15 minute drive to the hot springs and a 30 minute drive to Mistico hanging bridges. The room was spacious and the shower was nice and big with a curbless entry.

The room did not have an open-air balcony - we were aware of this but missed it. There were some rooms closer to the lodge that we would have preferred.

Breakfast was included and served in the dining room. There were several choices, and it was very good. Staff was kind and efficient. We stayed in the Chalet and the view was incredible.

Rooms too small for two beds, very crowded. No coffee pot in the room or a hot pot to make tea. No restaurant on the premises to buy coffee.

Very good Costarican breakfast, same as every other hotel. Lots of fruit, eggs, local sausage, pancakes, bread coffee. Well maintained grounds with lots of plants, large swimming pool. Very helpful staff. Walking distance to city center.

the pillows on the beds are too flat. there should be 2 pillows per person to accommodate for that. there was only one set of room and front gate keys which made for some inconvenience when our party split up for different activities. also there needs to be more hooks in the room to hang things like backpacks, clothing, extra towels. accessing the electrical sockets was difficult for five people in one room.

the garden setting is beautiful! the pool is lovely and enjoyable. the breakfast area is really nice and servers are fabulous. Adriana from Reception is super helpful and informative.

rooms are very small . no place to put an open suitcase . could use more wall hooks for clothes and towels . beds were pretty firm and had plastic type mattress covers which made us sweat at night . the display on the AC remote is very hard to read . door locks were a bit of a challenge. old jalousy style windows didn’t close tight and let a lot of outside noise in.

Place itself was good - nice room with AC, quiet area. Staff was excellent - went above and beyond. I accidentally booked a tour for the wrong day and didn't realize it until morning of. They not only helped us reschedule for the same day, but also drove us to a taxi to make sure we made it. Would definitely stay there again.

The rooms are nice but but basic. The beds are a bit hard. We slept well despite this as it’s very quiet at night.

The property is very clean with tropical plants surrounding the grounds. In fact, we witnessed staff cleaning and pruning plants daily. The pool is also great for those warm/sunny days. Breakfast is provided each day and although it’s basic, we really enjoyed having this available.
