Angela was a great and attentive host, the room was comfortable and very clean, the view of the vulcano from the balcony a real highlight. It’s great to be able to use the facilities of the hotel next door, for breakfast in a nice setting and to book tours/activities.

I had an amazing stay at Arenal Monara. The room was clean, confortable with a terrace and a view of the volcano. It is very close to the centre of La Forturna but still very quiet. The owners Angela & Armando are very friendly and helpful. Armando took me for a night hike in the garden next to the restaurant where I saw many frogs and insects, they called me when there was something interesting to see. Great place to stay in La Fortuna.

Spent two nights here mid March 2024. Place was a great home-base for all the hiking and exploring the wife and I did. Everything is newly built. Pics shown are what you get. A/C is cold and works quickly. Refrigerator on balcony works great and get things cold quickly. Shower is hot. Everything just works as it should and looks great. Location location location!!! So if you zoom in on Google maps you'll see that the hotel is located in the north western corner, about 2 blocks off of the main drag, on the edge of the town. We were literally a 5 min walk from dozens of restaurants, shops, the town square but also nothing but nature in front of you, including amazing balcony view of the volcano. Best of both worlds. This is important because......... Included in your stay is a night time excursion into the owners garden where he will show you dozens of amazing insects, lizards, reptiles etc. In fact the hotel is apart of a much bigger, family run operation. They have a restaurant, tour company, hotels. It's very nicely decorated with all types of carvings, furniture, paintings, rocks, fountains, ponds, etc. Basically this is a few generations worth of work from people who live and work the complex. It's really is something. Value town!!! Let's talk $$$$ we paid 150 bucks for two nights. Not each night, 150 combined!! (I am sure prices vary depending on which of the three rooms you book and what time of year you visit.) People, you will not get a better bang for your buck than this place. Wife and I travel alot and besides this one jungle hut we lodged in while traveling Belize in 2018 this is the best deal we have ever encountered. I'm sure those prices won't stay that low as reviews like mine pour in so get it while you can!! Also breakfast at the attached restaurant is great and the best value we got in La Fortuna. Great property, great new and modern room, everything works, great people running it, great location, great value!!

Angela and Armando are so very nice and welcoming. Their property is very new and very clean with great amenities and wifi. The surrounding area is very scenic and highly recommend Armando's sloth tour! Great breakfast every morning in the property restaurant surrounded by wildlife! Our stay was comfortable and extremely secure. The hosts are 5 Star. ** Thank you especially to Angela for finding my lost sunglasses and saving the rest of my vacation!! 🤩

Angela and Armando are amazing hosts! The rooms are all new, clean, modern and great location! Armando took the time to show us little frogs, basilisks, such great fauna in the backyard of this amazing place!!! I definitely recommend don't think about it twice folks book your stay!!

Nothing.

The location is perfect, close to town, but doesn’t feel like it because of the privacy of the grounds. The grounds were beautiful and the restaurant was delicious. But the hosts made this stay AMAZING. Angela & Armando are friendly and accommodating. Armando takes you out on a night walk through the grounds and we saw green eyed frogs, blue jean dart frogs, lizards and lots of birds. We didn’t see a green eyed dart frog that night & Armando found 3 the next night & came to our room to get us so we could see. Armando also does a sloth tour around the local area & we saw 7 or 8 sloths, both 2 & 3 toed and a toucan. They also have a fruit feeder & birds come up to where you have breakfast. The property is new & your deck looks out to Arenal. I can’t even list all the reasons we loved it!!

The recently opened Arenal Monara in La Fortuna exceeded all expectations. The hospitality from Angela the host was exceptional, making our stay truly memorable. The hotel's modern amenities, combined with its amazing location provided the perfect launching point for exploring the area. I highly recommend this gem for anyone seeking a delightful and comfortable stay in the beautiful La Fortuna.

I loved staying at Arenal Monara and will recommend anybody to do the same! The room was very nice, clean, and spacious with a really great bathroom and with an amazing view of the volcano, and the location was convenient. Best of all, however, was the owners! They were so sweet and accommodating, also showing me amazing wildlife in their garden. I would definitely stay with them, if I ever come back.
