The hot springs were wonderful. Great location for going on excursions and easy to get in to La Fortuna. Rooms were big, comfortable and air conditioned. Breakfasts had a lot of choice, which varied day to day. The fresh fruit was delicious. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

The ac was broken upon arrival and they took the next couple days to get it working. The day pass population was massive so the place felt pretty packed despite the few guests.

The only thing we didn’t like was that the property sells a lot of day passes for people to come enjoy the hot springs. This is common in this area with other hotels but there would be buses dropping off tons of teenagers/people and it really took away from the ambience for hotel guests. The breakfast was fantastic but the rest of the food is just okay.

This place is beautiful. It’s a vast property with so many different hot spring pools. The property is beautiful and lush and right in the middle of a rainforest and town. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff was very good. The room was very large and clean.

The rooms are slightly outdated, and the scenery from the room didn't meet my expectations. With some room improvements, Baldy Hot Springs has the potential to enhance the overall guest experience.

There were a lot of people using the property for the hot springs, it looked like many bus loads of people came in for the day and it a kind of seemed like a theme park atmosphere.

Beautiful location very tropical with beautiful landscaping and view of the volcano . We had 2 rooms reserved but due to a family emergency we only needed one room but since we could not get a rebate for the second room that we already paid for the manager agreed to upgrade our one room to a suite and it was much appreciated.

The quality of the dinner buffet was terrible!!! :( All of the food was BAD!! Also on the last day of my 4 day stay which ended on 6/24 the water was not as warm as expected… Also, I didn’t see as much birds and wildlife during the stay as expected

Hotel rooms were very comfortable but a bit tired, not quite 5 star as claimed. Well run bars, but quite expensive

Spectacular complex of 25 thermal pools, ranging from hot tub to large pools and others with swim-up bars, all set in lush jungle. Genuine ’wow factor’. Excellent and fairly priced spa. good security for general access and for car park

$150 deposit required for drink charges, our credit union visas and debit cards wouldn't work for this or to pay for room. Bathing suits stunk like sulfur even after washing twice. Finally dunked in pool at next resort so the chlorine would get out the smell. Road to La Fortuna is very windy! Take motion sick pills if u get car sick easy.

Variety of pool options was fantastic. Buffet breakfast had something for everyone and changed a bit every day.

Staff is terrific — especially with the high volume of guests and guest room turnover they deal with. Springs are nicest in the evening after day pass visitors thin out. Great for kids. Even the adults enjoyed the water slides.

Restaurant food quality was variable with poor prosciutto and sauce for the Fettuccini Alfredo pasta. There are a number of good dining spots in the area besides the house restaurant. Try Que Rico a mile up hill. Water from the tap is a little sulfurous, not surprising on the flank of a volcano.

Good location and fun hot pools which were well maintained. Tico breakfast items were educational as to the local fare.
