The room smelled a bit old. But I opened the window and then I had a great time. The sauna was not really hot, but I still used it 2-3 times.

Everything was great. Loved the VIP service with all day buffet for food and drinks.Also the spa on site was really nice. Airport shuttle very convenient and also the breakfast buffet was great. Late check out at 3pm. Overall I was very happy with my choice to stay there.

I think breakfast can be improved by adding more choices. On the other hand, to use towels for the pool you have to do a nonsense protocol. First, you have to ask for a ticket in the lobby, after that, go to the gym to ask for a towel in exchange for the ticket and they make you write your name, room number and sign. After you use the towel, you have to return it to the gym where they exchange it for the ticket and finally, you have to return the ticket in the lobby. If you don't do that, they charge you 20 USD for each towel.

I liked the location, it is very near to the sabana park and the airport.

Decor is somewhat old fashioned, very dark wood

Very clean, good hot shower, food was delicious and well priced, staff very friendly, pool was great . Piano player was wonderful. Gardens were lovely.

Everything were perfect with the property, the only problem I found was not getting any help with the luggage, I was traveling with my two kids, to stay in Costa Rica for 20 days, I brought 4 bags and I didn’t not received any help from the security guard, so dissatisfied and disappointed

We were offered a free upgrade by Bookings to the premium level (I.e. the top floor). Really nice and spacious room but kept hearing noises in the roof all night. Was a bit disturbing and quite loud. Suspicion that it was rats but potentially could have been birds.

Really nice hotel - high quality but also have the exotic feeling of being in Costa Rica despite being in the city. Had a free breakfast buffet which had a nice spread. Nice views from restaurant and room. Free airport shuttle (although only comes every hour so can be quite a wait).

Outdoor pool should be heated. No offer of alcoholic beverages in dining room. Refrigerator in room is locked.

Loved location of hotel….rooms are huge and very comfortable.fabulous exercise facility which includes a hot tub. Beautiful park-like grounds. Charming, spacious dining room. Very good food choices.

Not much to complain about but some noise from large trucks using engine breaks coming down the hill on 39 toward the intersection with 1.

Excellent location, very clean and well maintained classic 90s style luxury hotel. Beautiful gardens and facilities. The breakfast was an excellent buffet, great variety of options and excellent value, be sure to book with breakfast included.

Most of the staff were not very friendly or welcoming. They were polite and did their job but that was it. It seems as though Costa Ricans don't like smiling. Because we had a late flight leaving, I had booked a premium room which should have allowed us a late checkout but they only gave us one extra hour. There was a lot of noise from the highway close by and from airplanes flying over, and we were supposedly in one of the quietest rooms. We had to use our earplugs to sleep. There was no balcony and the windows didn't open so we couldn't get fresh air in the room. Although the hotel is very close to a major park (La Sabana) and not that far from downtown, we had to take a taxi everywhere as the hotel is located on the opposite side of the freeway with no way to get across to the other side, and we like to walk everywhere.

The beds were very comfy and the hotel grounds are beautiful. Great service from a few of the staff in the restaurant, especially Mayela Hernandez and Yorleny Medrano.

The property is outdated. The hype of the executive level was disappointing.

It was our last night before flying back to the states. It was nice staying at a place with a confortable bed, air conditioner and hot shower. The linens were high quality. The hotel had a nice size pool and open green spaces. The dinning room was a great hall with many food options. The hotel staff was polite and attentive.

shower glass is not clean, the toilet doesn’t stop to pour after flashing. the “warm” a/c function doesn’t warm, only can blow cold. the towels are old and used so hard that became thin. the bar is locked, literally locked. no keys.
