Honestly speaking, our room had no charme at all. Very functional and comfy beds - but that´s it. Maybe the upper rooms are nicer.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff! They also prepared an early breakfast (scrambled eggs with bread and marmelade or tortilla with beans - the typical Costa Rican things) as we had to leave quite early to take a bus. The location is very close to the terminals where the buses depart towards La Fortuna and Puerto Viejo. The shower was also great. If you need to catch an early bus - that´s your place to stay.

The room was quite small and basic which is fine by me but it wasn't the cleanest. But then I'm a bit OCD about cleanliness. The traffic noise might disturb some people. Didn't bother me.

Bring your earplugs or a white noise machine - the traffic even at night is quite loud, and even the noise from within the hotel can be loud.

Fantastic friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and simple room with everything that was necessary for a one week stay. An easy walk to everything you would reasonably want to see and do in San Jose city centre.

San Jose, very dirty and full of homeless. would not recommend leaving the hotel after dark.

nice place, very close to the bus stations . The family who owns the place were very nice and helpful and they had a very good breakfast.

The only thing I didn't like was that I had a cheaper internal room and I had no windows except some that looked into the building. There were only sheer curtains over these windows, and the bathroom was small, so every time I got dressed in the room I felt like someone could see me if they looked over at the right time after walking upstairs.

Loved the staff, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic and again great staff. Fantastic front desk staff and the cutest Perro at the hotel :D

The room did not have an outside view window. One window looked over the laundry room and the other over a hall way.

The property is well situated near to many of the bus stations. The room was quiet and the staff very helpful. Breakfast was good with a couple of choices along with coffee, tea, juice on tap! Easy to locate

the room was very dirty, there was a buildup of hair in the plug in the sink and the corners of the room/behind the door were dirty the curtain was so thin that even drawn we could see into the room with the window opposite and they could see into our room the walls were thin, we could hear the fan in the next room

The area isn't the greatest to walk around in at night and the hotel itself has seen better days. The bathroom smells of drains and if you leave the bathroom door open it stinks out the whole room.

The staff are lovely. The Breakfast is great. Rio the dog is a delight. Wi-fi works well in the room.

The rooms were stuffy (hot), our loo was blocked with a poo from a previous guest. The breakfast was abit basic. Glad we were only here for one night.

The staff were sweet and helpful and the location was fairly central. For what we paid, the hotel is probably what we should have expected.

We only stayed for one night but the location was a bit sketchy and I didn’t feel comfortable when walking around in the evening outside. Would not have stayed in that location if I was on my own.

Rough and busy neighborhood.

The rooms are dated but the beds were comfy. It is the ladies working there that are the heart and soul of the place. They were very kind and attentive. Great free breakfast with a choice of three: American, continental or omelette with veggies and ham. It is walking distance from the Tica bus terminal but we got an Uber and that worked out great.

My bed wasn't clean.

Had to pay 5$ for breakfast, what was communicated to me clearly. The front of the hotel is a bit noisy, the busstation is upfront the hotel. Airport service worked well during the evening, 25$ paid.
