    Nothing

It was quiet and also a small organic farm. Beautiful setting away from busy touristy areas but still close to activities around Arenal.

The room we stayed in needed the sliding door repaired to close it( which the maintenance men attended to immediately-thank you ). The pillows were rather hard and the bathroom door would not close and lock securely. We did like the room but it just needed a few repairs which we reported to the front desk so hopefully they will be taken care of.

The property is located on a rural area with lovely trees and sounds of the forest. It is very peaceful there outside of busy La Fortuna. It has several little hot springs that vary in temperature from hot to warm and a swimming pool. The food at the beautiful, ranch style restaurant was delicious and the staff and service there were great. We also enjoyed the walk to the hot springs and the restaurant.

The hotel is located a bit far from La Fortuna, with transportation costing USD$45 one-way. However, if you book activities through their reception, which incidentally offers some of the best experiences we had in Costa Rica (the horseback riding expedition is unparalleled), they provide free transportation. For peace of mind and because of the exceptional quality of these experiences, I highly recommend booking all activities through their friendly reception. Additionally, if you plan to visit La Fortuna, they can arrange transportation for you, ensuring both safety and access to one of the best drivers we encountered during our entire trip.

Our first day in Costa Rica had its challenges, but upon arriving at the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised by the kindness and assistance of the staff. Despite our initial fatigue, we quickly enjoyed the magnificent pool, private jungle trek, and relaxing on-location hot springs. Even with our 7-year-old daughter in tow, we felt secure thanks to the safe environment provided by the hotel. Thanks to them, we were able to shake off the travel fatigue and truly start enjoying our holiday.

We had wifi issues throughout our stay but seemed to be a one-off event caused by the internet provider. The first evening we arrived, the hot springs were lukewarm but then the following night they were hot, so not sure what happened there. We knew the hotel was a bit of a drive from La fortuna and arenal volcano (30 or so minutes) when we booked. It ended up being not so great as we felt really far away from restaurants and diverse options.

Beautiful, well-maintained grounds. The bungalow was beautiful and spacious. Lovely balcony and hammocks. Included breakfast which was very nice, menu style. Staff were really helpful. They made some inquiries for us for visiting an eco-reserve.

The neon lights at night took away from the nature feel of the place. It was a bit out of town so we had to drive 20-30 minutes to get to activities. The music at the hot springs could be heard early in the morning when you wanted to listen to the birds.

The room had a nice view on the garden and was clean and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was good and the outdoor location was great. There was a lot of interesting wildlife around the hotel.

There's nothing we didn't like. Seriously!

What a hidden gem! Staying here was one of the best decisions of our whole trip and I only wish we had booked more nights. The staff was friendly and attentive, the grounds were exceptional, and the environment was wonderfully natural. The bungalow was super cozy and had all the amenities we could wish for. The included breakfast blew us away, too.

The food in the restaurant was very heavy on big meat options, not much choice, but it was good food.

The grounds of the hotel are gorgeous. It even has its own little piece of rain forest that can be easily explored. The room was spacious and very clean. The house keepers were great and friendly, every day they made a different animal out of towels(with eyes and lips!) that my son really enjoyed. The place was full but did not feel crowed. Gorgeous swimming pool. The hotel has its own private hot springs that can be enjoyed in the afternoon and evening. All the staff was really attentive and accommodating.

These arnt really complaints just suggestions. No where to hang wet towels in the bathroom, only hook on back of bathroom door was broken. Bathroom light was useless, once dark you couldn't see and the only mirror was in the dark bathroom, another mirror could be helpful. The black out strips don't stop people from looking in but create more darkness in the room. The spare bed was unusable, the mattress needs replacing. More foliage between us and next door as we could see a lady naked next door. The walking trail is a very nice touch but no signs to tell you if you're going the right way. And finally, probably because we are British a kettle would be great!

The overall resort was very nice and well kept. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was nice with enough options. We didn't use the pool but looked clean and warm enough to swim in. We saw a sloth right behind our glass bungalow, we also saw toucans on the resort.

The food at the restaurant was not good. The waiters weren’t professional. Need it to ask for items that were basics at the table then wouldn’t bring them until requested it second time to another waiter. Need it a night stand by the side of the bed.

    Breakfast was good.

To us the hotel weak point is the restaurant. Breakfast has not lots of options. Drinks like coffee or milk are buffet style but then you have to choose between 5 or 6 options, like omelette, scrambled eggs, pancakes or gallo pinto one per person. The dinner prices seemed as well a bit overpriced compared with others. Still, it does it job and food is good.

Hotel location is “middle of nowhere” but that’s great because it’s not massive touristic and it’s literally in the middle of rain forest. The staff is very helpful and kind. They always tried to help or to answer any questions he had. Standard room bungalows has clean and had all necessary commodities. Pool is not deep but does its work. Was great for refreshing during rain forest and humidity. Springs are very nice. 6 pools with different water temperatures. 1st and 2 warmer were great. Very recommended hotel.

There were no comfortable chairs to sit in inside our room and only one chair on the deck. We both like to read and since it gets dark early, we would’ve liked someplace to sit and read. We needed bedside lamps to read by. The single lamp was too small and too low. The staff did bring us a pole lamp for our second night. Also the overhead chandelier was broken and two of the bulbs (the others didn’t work) stayed on all night. We did alert the staff at the desk the next morning. The guy at the desk was quite concerned and very responsive. He indicated they were going to replace the light immediately. Hopefully it will be fixed by now.

We loved the property and all the birds everywhere. Very attractive and exotic. We took a lovely walk on the property looking for birds. The lychee trees provided ample food for the birds and we saw tons, among them three yellow-throated Toucans, lots of oropendolas and other Costa Rican species. At first we were concerned by the distance away from La Fortuna and good restaurants, but we found the food was very good at the hotel restaurant and the staff were absolutely outstanding and very friendly. In general the staff was quite responsive and helpful. We ended up having a very relaxing stay. We hope to return in a year or two.

We stayed for a week and I wish there was more variety on the hotel restaurant menu.

The staff is spectacular and are genuinely invested in you having a wonderful visit. We had the hotel book our excursions which was not only economical but also a lot easier in travel planning. We had to cancel one of our tours due to a sick kid and the staff was so understanding and helping us do so. Diego is amazing!! I think our only surprise was that the Hot Springs are only open in the evening. Which wasn’t a big deal just something we had a considered in planning our days. We did a fair amount of daily excursions with our own rental car (splurge and get the 4 x 4). The beds were super comfy. The resort is well laid out to offer almost all bungalows a sense of privacy. Housekeeping was great. The restaurant was average, but the staff once again were overly accommodating. We ate at two close by sodas and enjoyed the local cuisine not to mention the ridiculously low prices.
