Just get a room with aircon, we thought a fan would be enough but it was so hot!

The staff were lovely and helped us with shuttle buses and trips, they had a decent enough kitchen to cook in and the location was really good!

Owner seemed indifferent at times. Room was hot as hell during the day and the fan was pathetic for the room ( wall mounted small fan). I've been to Costa Rica 25 times and I would rank it in the lower half of the rooms I've stayed in. There are better options nearby. However, it was cheap, clean and centrally located.

Located in the center of town very close to bus station scooter rental and supermarkets. Bogarin Trail is about 10 min. Walk.

Room was very hot. There were no screens on the windows, so mosquitoes could get in. I didn't want to leave the front window open while I was out or sleeping for safety reasons.

Shower was large good location, good breakfast. Having a refrigerator was nice.

T'was very hot and humid during our stay, which I didn't expect so I did not book a room with AC and I regret that. I would recommend booking the room with AC during the dry season.

Price was 132 USD with all taxes, but they charge 150 ... Is not fair from owner to make this kind of scam...I book just day before, so rate can be change a lot... Booking.com give me the price in USA dollars, maybe is kind of trick...to say after rate is change from owner... Anyway I pay 18 dollars more... So by querfull with this...

There is a lot of noice the whole morning, day and evening. At night it was ok. A bedside lamp would be nice.

Good price for what you get. Supermarket in front of the cabinas. I can recommend you to book a tour at the cabinas, they are personal and pretty cheap compared to other tour companies. The breakfast is ok.

The room was noisy. Unfortunately, we did not feel welcome. He was also unwilling to bring our breakfast forward a quarter of an hour because we had to leave early. There is still room for improvement in terms of hospitality.

Very very loud and noisy mainly by other guests until 2 in the morning. The guy at the reception was not really friendly. There was absolutely no warm water.

The owner is not very nice person, we met him at the check-in time. I think the room was worst we get. No view at all, the window facing the wall, in the room was only beds and a tv, nothing else, no coat hangers, no shelf or wardrobe to put your staff on, no coffee mashine or a fridge (we saw other rooms have them all). Very bad smell in the bathroom.

A bit too much light coming into the room from the bright lights on the street. Darker curtains would have been good. It was probably not a problem for rooms not facing the street.

There are 3 things I like about Cabinas Las Palmas. First, The host, Flanklyn is so nice person, he can speak English well, and communicate with each other in English ( or of course Spanish) without any problems. Second, it has also travel agency, and I can make reservations for 3 tours. Flanklyn is also good and well-trained travel consultant, and he made good arrangement for my stay in La Fortuna. Third, the place is nice, I can find so many good Costa Rican restaurants close to the hotel.

I haven't ever met anyone that was this bad and unwilling to give customer service to customers . The cleaner was the only good person working for the hotel, atleast she smiled when you walked past her..and the bugs inside the room was pretty nasty.... there is a parking lot that only fits cars behind each other, so i needed to wake at 7.20am to move my car. The "owners" dog kept barking till 2am in the morning so sleeping here is hard, if u don't like extra noises when you trying to sleep.

Our mini fridge was actually a freezer so it froze our fruit but there is a large community refrigerator in the common area that is available for use. We struggled to find the address but found it easily when we used the Lat/Long coordinates

Great value! It’s so nice to find an inexpensive place to sleep and shower. The staff is helpful and has lots of information about things to do in Fortuna.

A dark room on the ground floor next to the toilet and kitchen. No view. Shared backyard with noisy owner's household. Road noise from other rooms. Broken toilet, which we fixed ourselves. Unwillingness of the owner to help in any way. Air conditioning placed directly above the bed which dripped. Advertised parking space is in the yard, in case of "not only" early departure you have to get the car owners to allow you to exit. Very unpleasant owner who makes you feel like you are bothering him with your presence. He is not willing to give out breakfast early. Expect to be served breakfast rather late by an unpleasant owner. If you pay by card they charge 7% more than the price on the booking. I recommend finding other accommodation and not supporting this owner in his business.
