Beautiful hotel!! It was far enough out of town to relax but close enough to walk into town.

The accommodation was clean and the room had everything we needed. Bed was huge and very comfortable and the room felt private as it wasn't overlooked by any other rooms. Breakfast was delicious but it was a struggle to consume as there was so much of it. A plate of fresh fruit, coffee and pastry/banana bread followed by a cooked Costa Rican breakfast was sufficient to keep us going all day long. The staff were lovely, always smiling and happy to help with anything. The swimming pool near our room was a perfect place to cool down after a day out and about and it was never busy. The hotel is a nice distance from La Fortuna to avoid the hustle and bustle but near enough to walk into the town for a meal or shopping. If the clouds allow it, you get a perfect view of Arenal Volcano whilst sitting at the bar or eating your meal.

Hotel Boutique Casa Del Rio truly exceeded all expectation. It not only was a beautiful property, but the staff was exceptional! I cannot recommend this hotel enough- the location was ideal for sight seeing and our room really started to feel like home away from home! 10/10 would recommend!

Service was nice, but slow. Staff slow to respond on WhatsApp even though that is the way they ask you to contact them.

Not the fault of the hotel, but we had tiny tiny sugar ants in the room that got into any food in the room itself. Also the power went out a few times and woke us up as the TV went on in the night and the lights all turned back on. Again, not the fault of the hotel exactly, but it wasn’t pleasant.

Loves the seclusion and the beauty of the nature surrounding each bungalow. Really liked the room concept with the private hot tub balcony. The staff were superb and very accommodating! The view is absolutely incredible in the dining area and there are many small places to sit and enjoy the nature.

The hotel was so clean and the aesthetic was absolutely beautiful. The grounds were meticulously maintained with beautiful flowers and plants. We even saw a sloth and monkeys. Our room, barracuda, was so beautiful and a large amount of space for our family of 5. We loved our outdoor space with our own hammock. The restaurant was delicious and the staff were so attentive (thank you William). Delicious breakfast and cocktails. The pools were great after a long day of adventure. We loved the waterside. The kids also played soccer and basketball. The massage at the spa was perfect. Lastly, the location of the hotel is perfect. So close the La Fortuna town that has many restaurants and shops. Casa del Rio is gated and extremely safe.

Perhaps, pools should have a better temperature when it is raining, or more LEDs around the jacuzzi , but the whole hotel is very fancy.

Climbing the hill from the room to do anything wasn't great. Without each house having a moped or golf cart though I don't know how you would fix it.

The hotel is very modern, fresh, and clean. The staff was very helpful and the concierge helped with dinner reservations and tour ideas.

There are no water bottles or other beverage options in the room. The argument the hotel gave was to avoid plastic waste for the benefit of the environment. I fully supported this argument until I saw Italian flown in San Pellegrino bottles in the restaurant.

Beautiful resort, designed with much taste. Spacious and beautifully designed rooms, that are embedded in a tropical garden. The resort is next to a river and one feels nature is all around. The food was very decent.

It was a very pleasant surprise at the design, quality, and ambiance, of the stay! It was the quality of a resort many times more expensive. The grounds were very well maintained and picturesc. It was surrounded on three sides by the river, fenced off. Everyone was beyond kind and helpful. The pools were beautiful, and there are two legitimate hot tubs and a water slide, two big pools. Everything was way beyond what I had expected. Dinner was great at a very reasonable price! about the same as in town, with a better atmosphere and higher quality. The breakfast was made to order and was just the right amount of food. They had apps, juice, and coffee included. The menu had quite a few options.

The construction noise started at 7:00 A.M.! For non-morning people, that is pretty brutal. Have the guys start at 9 o’clock in the morning down on the new pool area, and that would be acceptable.

Absolutely beautiful setting. The accommodations were stunning. The hot tub-plunge pool situated on the deck of the villa was integrated into the surrounding jungle. The grounds were perfect. It was like walking through a manicured tropical greenhouse. Also, very private. The spa was excellent. The staff were courteous and efficient.

The Hotel is located in one of the quiet places , surrounded by nature, cleanliness on point, the room was spacious and climate controlled. The staff was amazing and very responsive to your needs, the food was also amazing at their beautiful restaurant located inside the hotel compound. I had a great time and felt well rested.

There is nothing about the property that was disliked by my family. Everything, from the casita, to the pools, to the water slide, to the spa, to the restaurant was fantastic.

The property was beautiful and in an immaculate star of care and cleanliness. Only the best of experiences were had.

The property was spread over a steep hill. Walking to/from the restaurant took a bit of energy. There weren't many guests so some of the facilities were closed (pool slide, bars, etc.).

The hotel was well located - close to town, and in a quiet location next to the river. The staff were very friendly, and the restaurant was super convenient. Views of the volcano from the restaurant were awesome!

The reception desk was not always attended, which was inconvenient when we needed advice or assistance.

The cabins were located in a pleasant, leafy area leading down to a river. Unfortunately, a wire fence blocked access to the river. Near the river was an area with ponds and geese and peacocks. There were nice swimming pools, and a scary water slide which our grandson enjoyed.

Could have used a few hooks to hang up wet clothes.

This hotel was a great! It had so many surprises. The gated entry made it feel safe and secluded. The river running just behind our room was so peaceful to listen to. Food was delicious and the staff were so attentive. They even picked us up with a golf cart from one of the further away pools and dropped us back at our room. Our private outdoor jacuzzi was amazing! Never got a view of the volcano due to rain but that didn't stop us from having a great stay. Pura Vida!
