Unfortunately was not able to see a thing in March during days due to the cloudy weather, feel like it was not necessary to go that far, as I booked the room for the view. It is important to be prepared that you might not be able to see the beautiful Arenal Volcano from the room, but the view of the jungle was nice. Very bad road condition to reach the hotel.

Good local breakfast, with different choices, we could hear birds, love the fact it's located in a jungle. We didn't use the kitchen area, but looks great, that you could cook, and make friends at the shared diner area.

A toilet that kept blocking! Can't complain at the swiftness of it being remedied on both occasions - never even saw the staff who attended to it.

We enjoyed the remoteness of the lodge from the bustling tourist hot spot of La Fortuna, as well as the remoteness of our bungalow (with jungle view) from all the rest of the bungalows on site. Breakfasts were good, and a booked evening dinner was excellent. The view of Arenal volcano is mentioned in virtually every review of this accommodation, and with good reason - nothing better than sitting with a bottle of red watching the sun go down and the volcano slowly disappearing into the dark and the gathering cloud.

The location is quite far, definitely recommended to have a vehicle. There were small ants everywhere! They didn’t bite, however were on every counter and my bags. no food was left out but they were just in everything. I for sure brought ants home with me. It’s understandable that we are in a forest area so I didn’t make a big fuss, but it should be known. Luckily no other bugs were seen in my room.

The views were stunning, the lodging was clean. Had basic things, a bedside light, a fan and a fridge. staff was very nice and welcoming.

Wooden furniture is beautiful but not comfortable to relax on the back deck. We brought out the bed pillows to help.

David was our front desk go to guy! This place has a Villa with a small pool/ hot tub out on the back porch that faces the Volcano. Air condition was powerful and kept us comfy for the 3 days we stayed. There is an amazing restaurant .5 miles away called Jalapas! The restaurant on site also has good pizzas. We will be back to our little villa in the heavens.

We got a smelly blanket and I complained about it , the staff right away change it for me . However this should be checked before we checked in .

We booked a bungalow with private bathroom we got a great view and privacy . The staff is so friendly giving recommendations to everyone.

We were asked not to put shoes in the room, but were not given anywhere to put them. So on misty/humid days they got quite wet by the morning which was not ideal. Also the road to get to the lodge is not the easiest to drive, especially at night.

The place is quite remote so if you rely on taxis or Uber, be sure to book in advance if it is an early hour when you need to leave. One suggestion is to have a clothes drying line available.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room in the hostel was comfortable. The shared bathrooms were clean, and there was hot water in the shower! Excellent wifi. The best was just to relax on the beautiful yard and enjoy the spectacular view.

The downside is that the road to the property is not paved so it can be hard to access for some cars (doable but challenging)

The road to get there was rough the last km, just a dirt road with pit holes and stones. We had a SUV and it was not a problem to get there but just be aware. The bungalows were not isolated and we were freezing quite a lot with only one small blanket one night and heard basically every noise from the outside and other bungalows.

Beautiful location! Basic bungalows but had everything we needed. The view was not amazing from the bungalow but beautiful from the common kitchen and restaurant! Also a nice restaurant close by that we walked to one night with our head torches because there was no light in the road! Nice staff that was keen to help us.

Access road is very long from town and not great quality. Doable in a 2wd but slow going - takes about 15 minutes from town.

We loved the view from our cabin. We enjoyed the shared common area and the shared kitchen was well stocked if you wanted to cook. Handy restaurant beside the lodge. Very quiet.

Even if the accomodation is about 20 minutes away from the center of La Fortuna, you have the best view over the Arenal Volcano, especially, if you book one of the cottages! It was very clean and the staff helped us booking our tours to the volcano and hot springs.

My second room was situated so that when the wind blew it was pretty noisy.

It's a bit distant from the centre. Make sure you have a car. I didn't have a car and used Uber, it did work very well but for a better comfort I recommend to rent a car

The view and calmness are just amazing! The staff is very helpful and friendly. They look after the environment and make you feel home! Everything was clean. Ideally for couple, but I was a solo traveler and I still enjoyed so much! Thanks to the staff
