Heard loud music from bar/ restaurant til 10pm.

Loved the bar and restaurant right there and a path to the beach. Loved being able to just walk down the street to shops, other restaurants.

Bed could be larger, the space can take a queen or two beds, and better spot for luggage/clothing. The sitting area could be more comfortable or set up for sleeping, we were two friends and may have used it as a second bed if more ready access to extra bedding.

The 2pc bath next to the loft bedroom was great. Well equipped kitchenette which we did not use this time, as time was short. Great AC shower and outdoor areas. Nice secure parking. Bed comfortable.

The walk from the bus stop a little precarious at night . No fault of Accomodation but no pavement and big ditches for drainage and quite dark down to the property . The road property on was fine though !

Everything . Room huge and well furnished with kitchen and dining table as well as 2 beds . Shower was great . Hot water , storage off the bedroom for clothes and suitcases . Outside area and use of washing machine and drying line . Flexible with payment when I could not get cash . Friendly owners . Very responsive

Everything is cool, you just have to know that you have to walk a little bit to get to the bus stop but for the price is definitely worth the extra steps.

A lot of space, super confortable, I was traveling alone so there was a lot of room left. Everything you need is available, including wifi, a small but nice equipped kitchen and a nice clean bathroom. There’s even a washing machine that you can use while you’re staying.

We didn't use the kitchen but if someone wanted to use it there were little flies. That doesn't mean it is not to be clean but it is a wooden house and it is good to know it. The bed was okay but it could be more comfortable. Otherwise, everything was fine.

The room was very clean. The bathroom was nice and very clean. There is some bug but it is understandable in Costa Rica and it is not a big deal. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and everything was great also shower pressure was okay and the water was warm. If you have a car the location was perfect.

    nothing.

Lovely apartment, had everything I needed, good kitchen, including blender to make smoothies, spacious, nicely decorated, very cosy. Nice little private garden, where two parrots made their nest in the tree. Communication with host was fine, although mostly with app, no personal contact. My worry was that it would be inconvenient without a car, but that was no problem at all: you can walk to the main road, where there are frequent buses to the national parc and Manuel Antonio beach. I found it also easy to hitchhike when I missed the bus, parc and beach are the end of the road, and all cars go there. Teva hostel is near (walking distance) and has a nice (Moroccan) restaurant.

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was lovely! The place we rented was spacious, super clean, and cozy. It had a fridge, air conditioner, a small kitchen, a coffee machine and a nice little porch. We got to hear howler monkeys and see a parrot on the property. Location was only 10-15 minute drive to restaurants and attractions. Would definitely stay here again!

The road into town or towards shops isn’t easily walkable, it’s hilly and busy with big cars or busses. But the bus was easy! Our hosts were very friendly and responsive to our questions- but we had quite a few questions because there wasn’t any information on arrival. They have a book of tours but not practical things eg. Where to hail the bus and how much it was for a taxi. Perhaps a book of this super practical information would save them from answering basic and frequent questions for each guest.

We loved being able to cook the home, the kitchen is well equipped and works great. It’s in a really beautiful and peaceful setting with a big porch and garden behind, we saw lots of monkeys. The bus was easy to hail from the road for either Manuel Antonio park or Quepos town and only 385Q pp. There was a manual washing machine on the property which was a life saver for us backpackers. We could easily walk to Ronny’s Place for a beer!

More hammocks would have been nice since everyone wanted to lay in the only one available! Honestly, best stay we had on our trip.

It's a four-unit property. We were the only guests due to low season, I imagine, so we had the common patio areas all to ourselves. There was a hammock and rocking chairs to view visiting wildlife (birds, iguanas, two types of monkeys, and even some macaws made a quick appearance). The washing machine was convenient and a plus considering we packed less because of it. The unit was a large studio w two bunk beds and a queen that were comforable enough. AC worked great. Kitchen had the basic utensils and appliances w a decent size fridge. It was a great stay for us. We had a rental car and were able to quickly get to everything in Manuel Antonio. Parking was never an issue since we were the only guests (might be if all units are occupied since parking is limited to two, maybe three). Would stay here again.

There weren't good conditions for cooking (very small kitchen and not well equipped). The smell and atmosphere of the old apartment.

Good location. Very nice garden with a creek and very close to the forest. A lot of birds to see. We were 5 and we got two apartments. There was a big difference between them. The newer one was small but nice while the other one was big but very dark with heavy curtains and it had an unpleasant smell.

A truly relaxing place to stay in a beautiful location

There's not much to fault ... If you're a first-time visitor to Costa Rica, be aware that it's common to have only a cold-water supply to a property. Although all the showers are heated, only the two more modern apartments have hot water in the kitchen. This won't spoil your stay, but don't be surprised by it!

Casas Guaney is easy to reach by car, and the local bus route between Quepos and Manuel Antonio passes by the end of the road (approx 250m from the property). There is free parking right outside the property. We loved the location! Although it's not far from the shops and restaurants in Manuel Antonio, it feels really rural and there is wildlife all around the property. We were entertained by Macaws, Toucans and Squirrel Monkeys most days, and it's easy to walk further in the immediate area and see more of the local animal- and bird-life. There are four apartments at Casas Guaney, two traditional and two more modern, but all in a sympathetic style. The traditional apartments are on a single level, which is great for anyone with limited mobility, while the newer ones have a spiral staircase to the sleeping area (which also has an ensuite washroom and second WC). All the apartments are well-equippped with air conditioning, hot shower, fridge/freezer and cooking facilities. During our stay, we met Renan, the owner, who could not have been more welcoming. On arrival, he showed us round the apartments and was happy to advise on places to eat for our first night. We were able to make full use of all the facilities, which included a twin-tub washing machine located in a laundry area behind the apartments. For the price, we weren't expecting 5-star luxury, but Casas Guaney exceeded our expectations. It's comfortable, clean, spacious enough to relax without being cramped, and great as a base from which to explore the surrounding area. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Manuel Antonio.

When cooking the smoke has nowhere to escape, so you need to open the door and turn on the fan. But this is just nitpicking.

Fantastic location, very close to the park (10mins with car) and to multiple beaches and cafes. You are surrounded by nature, we saw howler monkeys in the backyard, a Toucan in front of our window, turtles in the water. The room was spacious, and had all the amenities you need to cook, make smoothies etc. I would stay here again next time. We were also able to do our laundry which was a big plus.
