The room is for two persons but there was only one lamp on one side of the bed. Not even a hook to hang towels in bathroom or a place for toiletries. The room and bathroom are small but could be improved for guests comfort. Hot water in shower is provided with a convoluted system with electrical wires exposed! The lodge presumes to offer high quality facilities but the mentioned details show little thought on comfort and/or functionality for guests from the owners or administration side.

I liked the location, went to enjoy nature and nature there was! The room has a small balcony, with table and chairs, from which you can see the secondary forest very near. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable and a heater was provided in case of cold weather.

The place is beautiful and the staff is very kind. While the on-site restaurant was a bit pricey, the food was amazing. The room is cozy and the bed is comfortable. Overall, this hotel is perfect for a romantic getaway, a family retreat, or simply a moment of indulgence, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Dinner was very good, but it cost a small fortune. It gets very cold here at night - pack a good fleece!

The bed cover needed some refreshing and the (electric) shower head system would never be allowed in Europe!

This was our last stop of a 3-week round trip and a great stop it was. Temperatures are cool at night, chalets are cosy and the showers are warm in the morning (not a given in Costa Rica). The restaurant is exceptional combined with great wines. Great value for money! Including the restaurant.

I was so looking forward to staying here as the reviews were so good, so it was disappointing not to get the bungalow with a patio as advised on our booking. We were a party of 4 travelling together. We were given rooms 8& 9 which were interconnected. No patio/ balcony. We are serious birders and were sorely disappointed that we could not sit at our accommodation and watch the great wildlife that is about. We noticed that other accommodations had balconies so I'm sure others would not have been disappointed. The young staff working here were very friendly and willing to please

Breakfast could have been more generous. We could choose between platters such as gallo pinto,cereals with fruit, French Toast, Bread and Marmelade but one could only have for example fruit and French toast by ordering two platters. The helpings were small by Costarican standards. We were a little disappointed that in a premium coffee area coffee was served out of a standard filter kept warm and not individually filtered.

There was nothing that I didn’t like. Probably to improve a little bit the internet access in the rooms but as it is a place to relax and enjoy nature, internet is not a priority.

I loved the food, it was a pleasure each of the gastronomic moments. There are river and forest walkings to go and a variety of activities to plan around the place.

Could do with curtains on all windows, although it is a lovely view and not overlooked as a light sleeper I was woken at sunrise, also would prefer curtains for privacy.
