No loungers or easy chairs in the garden

Quiet place just outside of town. Its 1000c into the centre which is much less than the difference of a hotel in town. Quiet hotel set in nice gardens full of wildlife. We saw a couple of huge Igananas The ac in the room was good. Breakfast is either Tican or American with juice tea and coffee. There is no kettle or fridge in the room but there is a kettle for guest use at reception and also a hair dryer. The large gardens are great fir a walk and despite there being a large pond there did not seem to be many mosquitos. There is a couple of rails and some hangers but we are living out of our bags anyway.

Location was very peaceful and tranquil. Excellent CrossFit and pool facilities next door. Staff were very friendly and couldn’t help enough during our stay!

great accomodation! great garden with a lot wild life (i saw there tucans and many other species of birds, some of them nestling right in the garden and we saw armadillos!) good breakfast and really nice and helpfull staff! Really recommend to all travelers! You will enjoy it :)

The shower was cold. Not a deal breaker, but definitely inconvenient after a long day of hiking. The access to the pool was a small window and we never got the chance to use it. We didn't mind it, but there were quite a few bugs and a lizard that got into our room during our stay, sharing in case that bothers anyone.

The staff were friendly and helped us find activities to do in the area. The room had air conditioning and was a nice size. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and it the pavilion we ate in was right next to a pretty creek. We were a 10-15 minute walk away from downtown with all the shops and restaurants.

it’s slightly further from the centre than I would’ve liked and quite a few ants kept appearing in the bathroom. which probably could be expected when you’re in a jungle.

More suggestions than something I didn’t like: Since it is a bit of a walk in to town it would have been a nice touch to be able to rent a bike from the hotel. And also to be able to buy cold beverages in reception, like water.

I felt really welcomed by the staff, they are what makes this place special. Really helpful & kind people, special shout out to Marianela, Andres, Anitha & Blanca (sorry for the spelling) for always greeting me with a smile and asking how I am. Simplistic rooms, has what you need no more no less. it also feels quite safe since it’s only 6 rooms so the place is never crowded. The surrounding area is very calm and nice with lots of banana trees and a pond with ducks, fish & a turtle. A cooler temp pool which is really nice when you’ve been out on a hike.

we traveled through panama and Costa Rica and this was by far the best stay of all. the hotel is family run and that is also the impression one has staying there. they are warm-hearted, engaged, very friendly and helpful.

The sound isolation is not too good and you can hear through the walls. Wifi did not reach the rooms but was available in the garden.

The hotel consists of several ground floor rooms located in a beautiful garden. The cleanliness was impeccable, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast with gluten free options. We greatly appreciated the washing service, the safekeeping of our luggage while we did last tour and all the recommendations about Arenal.

Breakfast was for my appetite a bit small, still good quality though. We had no car and the distance to the main part of the town is quite a walk.

Really nice, safe and clean place. The breakfast was good. You could choose between "Classic" and "American". I loved the huge garden and the pond. Didn't use it but you have pool access and there is a Crossfit Workout place where you can train (but I think you have to pay extra for this, cause it's not part of the hotel).

Location is a little out of town but don't let it out you off. 15 min walk to centre.

Good breakfast in nice outdoor seating. Decent kitchen for cooking in (on request). Good clean room and nice shower. Friendly staff with lots of advice on tours. Good local pool too!

Only that it will be good to have like hamaca paraguaya or reposeras beside the “lake” to relax there, because it is wonderful place to read or stay, and not be inside the room.

It is a very nice hotel located next to a nice pond. You have the possibility to take a CrossFit class and use the swimming pool. After the second breakfast it was vegan friendly! The staff is exceptionally kind.

It's a bit outside center of town, but only 10-15 nice walk. And a taxi is maybe 1-1,5 USD.

Nice appartment, there is a gym and swimming pool. The breakfast in the garden was nice. You can find some shops and fast food around. Its better when you have a car but its everywhere in Arenal.

Beautiful property with great amenities for a place like La Fortuna. Simple breakfast options which is fine for 1 or 2 days. Lovely place to relax.
