Breakfast was simple but adequate - individual plates scrambled eggs, toast, fruit, plantain brought to each guest vs a buffet set up. Had some issues with Wifi connectivity which was a bit of a problem since my husband was working remotely.

The front desk reception woman (possibly the owner as she was always there) was very friendly and helpful ie she provided us with a hairdryer as one was not in the room; she cooked breakfast for us when we arrived late (we thought breakfast was until 10am) The pool was lovely! I enjoyed the walk path and 'hanging bridge' that we had to cross while walking to breakfast from our room. Liked having a table with chairs on our front patio area facing the volcano. The property was easy to find from the main road - large sign and lights - which was very helpful when coming back from dinner at night. Great location; close to thermal spas and not too far from town. We had a rental car so not an issue to go anywhere.

On the main route to nearby attractions like thermal springs and waterfall. Fantastic property with the volcano view and generous breakfast. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Our room had a small fridge and a/c The staff is extremely helpful and very polite.

Very beautiful view of arneal volcano, loved the grounds. Good breakfast and very friendly staff. Rhe only thing I did not like was the shower in one of our rooms ( we had two ) slow drain and no lip between the shower and the rest of the bathroon the water started flooding the bathroom floor. But would definitely stay again.

Very nice hotel with modern, clean, comfortable rooms. A beautiful pool with a waterfall. Excellent breakfast. The staff person we dealt with at checkin and at breakfast was cheerful and very nice. It was also very quiet.

Really pretty location. Loved our stay here. The room was great and comfortable. Location would not be good if you don’t have your own car because you are not in La Fortuna but for us we had a car it was perfect and we loved the area and fun to have a cool view of the volcano. Clise drive into town for dinner. Breakfast was great—a typical Costa Rican breakfast served in a pretty environment that you access by crossing a bridge. We loved our stay here—you will too

You have to have your own car as it is outside of town and therefore limited food options in walking distance. But if you have a car, that's no issue.

Lovely hot showers. Fantastically maintained garden and pool and pool area. Novelty hanging bridge (fish in the river and fireflies at night). Would have had an amazing view of the volcano if the weather was better for our stay. Decent home cooked breakfast (local restaurant level). Great value for money.

You need a car or to make arrangements to drive to restaurants for dinner. In our room with two queen beds, one was very comfortable, but the other was quite old and uncomfortable and the rumpled sheets had probably been on it a long time. The lighting was unacceptable—it was not possible to read at night or to see well in the mirror in the bathroom.

It’s quite lovely on the grounds and the hanging bridge across the stream is very fun. The breakfast is very good!

Totally a beautiful setting! If the clouds would not have been so low the perfect view of Arenal. The staff, they were extraordinary. Definitely go beyond!

Cotton sheets, lovely pool, the hanging bridge walk to breakfast is fun. Patio very private to sit at. Overall very pleased with this stay. We stayed 3 places in fortuna all around this same price point and this was definitely the best for the price.

The road out front is not safe for walking. There’s a restaurant nearby, but we felt safer to drive there. That’s not the fault of the hotel, but feel this information may be helpful to those who arrive by bus.

The staff was very friendly and helpful beyond their normal hotel services. There was a big roof overhang at the front door and a table on the patio. That allowed my sister and I to sit outside when raining. The gardens are beautiful and there’s a stream that runs through the property. Breakfast was delicious.

A bit far from central La Fortuna. Best to have a car visiting this property... and the coffee for breakfast was too weak.

Cute bungalow. The property is big so there are plenty of places to walk around. Saw the pool but couldn't use it because of rain.

Hot water was sometimes too hot in the room but it just takes time to adjust.

A hidden gem, great value! Rooms were clean, cozy and comfortable! The property was very well kept, and you can’t see much until you reach your bungalow. They have a cute gazebo with their own hanging bridge to get to reception area/breakfast area (which was delicious and included!). The pool area was beautifully kept. All rooms have exceptional views of Arenal Volcano and it’s centrally located to many activities but far enough away from the busy tourist area of La Fortuna. Would recommend for all the above reasons as well as great rates! Would come back again 👍
