We were told during check in that after 10pm we should not be loud, and for every sound we would be charged 100$. Not very kid friendly. Same goes for smokers, smoking is not allowed in the whole area you have to go outside the hotel in the street.

The hotel lies on a huge green area with plenty amenities like restaurants, pools, gym etc.

The blinds of the back doors were not in optimal conditions, the windows of the bathroom were open and had no blinds, that made it easy for some unwanted crawlers to get in the room. There was only a small window open through the back door, that one had a screen to prevent unwanted visitors, but it was too small and that made the room feel way too hot in the middle of the night. There were no elevators for those who find it difficult to climb the stairs.

Hotel is nice but a bit outdated and needs renovation. The price does not match, we slept in both a Deluxe room and a Junior apartment, the price difference is big and does not match the difference between the rooms. In the Deluxe rooms you can hear everything from the adjacent rooms.

The rooms were are not sound proofed, so we could hear everything out neighbors were doing. The dinner at the restaurant was not very good. The service was terrible and the food was bland. Breakfast was really good, but really chaotic with all of the tours.

The view from our room was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and we were able to schedule hikes and zip lines same day. We saw some amazing birds on the guided day hike. The zip line view was beautiful.

Very dim, just little sconces. No AC or heat. Rice on the floor from last guests which led to lots of ants. Need to replace carpet with solid floors. There are ventilation windows in the bathroom and shower that open to the hallway so everyone can hear you in the bathroom and shower. Wi-fi connection was terrible. Just feel that it was very expensive for the experience.

Beautiful views. Very comfortable beds with good pillows. Awesome breakfast buffet with cook to order grill. Great wildlife spotting.

you always need a shuttle to go to reception breakfast pool everywhere as the hotel is massive and you can’t walk. They charge coffee 5 dollars and is awful undrinkable. rooms are old and overrated

It is on the pricey end and breakfast certainly could be improved for the price (I asked for butter on my toast, but they didn't have any). The shuttle service was usually relatively prompt other than the final day where it took 10mins. This was a shame as we had all our luggage and were under a bit of time pressure to make our onward journey. It was a particular shame as a bus passed us, but didn't stop for us, despite signalling. However, this was only on one occasion and the other times, we only had to wait 2-3 mins for a bus.

We had a wonderful stay at El Establo. We stayed for 4 nights and loved it.The rooms are a fantastic size, as was the bathroom. The room was very comfortable and clean, and there was daily housekeeping to maintain the high standards. We particularly enjoyed happy hour up by the pool - this is a beautiful setting to see golden hour, and I recommend the heaven cocktail. There is a rich variety of wildlife on site - we saw lots of birds, coatis daily and even saw an armadillo as we lazed by the pool. It's also a great location to get to all 3 reserves if you are going offsite to activities. The staff were incredibly helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Thank you for such a great stay.

The view from our balcony room were amazing. The breakfast was good. We did a night tour on the property with our guide, Derrick. He was very knowledgeable and we saw tarantulas and snakes. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had dinner at Laggus and it was very good.

The hotel is all uphill and you need to take the shuttle bus to take you everywhere - not something bad but very different.

The property is mind-blowing, the scenery is something else and the rooms were very nice. They offered alot of onsite tours which were same price as other outside tour operators which was very helpful.

The only drawback for this hotel is the huge property it is on and thus have to be be completely reliant on the shuttle to go from one block to restaurant or to spa, look out point etc. Although the staff tries hard to do everything possible but the shear # of tourists/visitors/guests cannot be moved by their transportation staff fast enough. The room did not require air conditioning. The walls are paper thin and hence noises or even chats from the neighbouring room can be disturbing. The hotel does not provide an iron in the room. This was very inconvenient for us.

The rooms are very very basic, with dirty carpet and no decor. We didn’t mind as we didn’t spend too much time in the room, but if you’re looking for a super nice room this wouldn’t be the place.

Everything is far,. Found it hard to park our car near the building, there was a large bus parked there and many vans coming and going. We were blocked in by the large bus at one point.

There was an unpleasant smell in our bathroom every morning. Not enough lighting in the rooms

Beautiful green surroundings with many facilities, including a swimming pool, tennis court, two restaurants, fitness center, mini soccer field for kids, a small park with swings, and ziplining. There are shuttle buses that run between all the facilities, but it is advisable to have a car since the hotel complex is large, and you wouldn't want to wait for the shuttle bus. Breakfast is very extensive, ranging from local dishes to American options. The rooms are spacious and lovely. The staff was very friendly and took their time to explain everything.
