We chose Esperanza for its high ratings in cleanness, location, and bed comfort categories, which are natural priorities for a group of surfers. Besides being very satisfactory in such categories, Charlie and his team made us feel at home. We ended up doing all the activities together, such as cleaning the beach, sharing the waves, cooking dinners, and exchanging ideas with deep conversations, which brought our experience far beyond a simple hostel stay. Esperanza is, for sure the location to go back to catch the next swell.

Living in the Hostel Esperanza was a dream! So close from the beach, very functional and well equipped. Charlie and Nicole were so helpful, nice and available! I highly recommend this place

Location was perfect very near to the beach. Our room was clean and nice and we really appreciated the AC. Kitchen was big and confortable, and beautiful views to nature, we can saw Guacamayos and Tucanes.

There is the open and warm kitchen to cook fresh tuna and blend smoothies, the hammock to chill, the boards to rent, a nice bathroom. Cherry on the cake Lena and Victoria are the nicest!

Beautiful and friendly hostel at Pavones, right next to the beach and restaurants. Relaxed, friendly staff and guests. We felt welcome and had a good time cooking meals in the shared kitchen and we were also able to work a little while there.

Just a few things could be fixed on the bedthroom like the toilet sit and there was also some water liking close to the bed so we had a few mosquitos inside :/

Perfect location, just 3 minutes walking to the surf point! The vibes were great, the kitchen was very well equiped and we even had a welcome bear, we felt very welcome by the hosts and the other guests :) We had a great time in this hostel and if we ever came again to Pavones we would defenitly like to stay here!

everything was perfect they accepted my dog 🐕 they offered us a beer and smoothie as a welcome the free coffee during the morning all the little a owner attention of the owner the bed is incredible all the guests are also super respectful and nice the hotel is 300m from the surf spot I have tried different places in Pavones but this one is the best one !

Amazing hostel in Pavones, perfect for surfing as it's literally 3 minutes walk from the main surfspot. Comfortable dorms and great kitchen, super well equipped! Charlie was super helpful and gave me great advice to always chose the right board (he has a very good selection of boards to rent). Last but not least, the vibe at Esperanza was great, I really felt at home there!

Awesome new surf vibes hostel with A/C in the rooms. Clean kitchen and bathrooms. Perfect hosts that make you feel like at home and better, you suddendly find yourself as a parte of a family. Very close to the main surf spots of Pavones as well as to bars/restaurants/minimarket (5 min walk). TOTALLY RECOMMENDED!! THANKS GUYS HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON, PURA VIDA!!

Everything! It's well equipped for your stay ( kitchen ) Lena and Charlie will always be there for you. Charlie's installing ACs in the rooms. Right now, there are fans , which makes guests hang out outside , It's pretty cool to get to know other people. Whole vibe is the best
