This place will stay in our hearts forever. It is rustic and it has lovely charm. The greenery around is so beautiful that you want to just sit at the porch and look outside. The hosts Ingrid and Marco are such a wonderful people. So much to do on the area to keep entertained.

This Finca Isla Rainforest Retreat is owned by nice German-Tico couple, Ingrid and Marco. Both live for their 80 ha of jungle, which they protect and maintain with the sustainable methods. It was great sleep there and feel the nature around. The owners are very heplful and they are able prepare food for you from their home planted bio-products! (better ask with little of anticipacion)

A lot if mosquitos, but this is ok for such climate so just be aware of that and take the repellents with you. Also in my apartment there were no hot water (or i couldn’t find it). But to me this wasn’t a big deal cause we stayed just for one whole day. And i think if you ask the owner she will help you with that (i just didn’t 🤣)

This is a wonderful place to stay if you want to have rest with your soul and body and enjoy amazing costa rican nature. Comfy apartments with patio that have everything you need basically: dishes, cutlery, blow dryer, towels, even oil for cooking. But what is more important: there is a huge territory with rivers, rocks, forest, where you can see a lot of animals and plants, take amazing pictures and videos, walk and just enjoy the view. Also there is a real flying bridge like those you’ve seen in the pictures and for visiting which you normally have to pay. Here it is already included in the price for your stay so i would say that the price is definitely worth it. Everything here is super cool! Also i want to emphasise that the owner is a truly beautiful person who’s kindness and hospitality makes staying here even better. She was so caring all the time and always helped us whenever we needed. I already want to come back. 10 out of 10

There was nothing we didn’t like.

This was a real rainforest experience. The hosts, Ingrid and Josh were awesome. Our stay was very calming. You can easily fall asleep listening to the sounds of nature and the the stream nearby. This was a total back to nature experience. Loved it.

A very quiet & private location with easy parking. Very comfortable and clean 2 bed chalet with terrace and hammock. The chalet is well equipped and Ingrid, the host, is super friendly. The chalet has everything you might require for a self catering, relaxing stay. Highly recommend.

Owners beyond kind and accommodating, freely shared their organic garden and wonderful goats milk. We slept like champs and saw white faced monkeys, macaws, parrots, sloth, many beautiful birds and the river is so wonderful for sleeping :) I felt like I was home! I will be bringing my whole family back. So very impressed with this beautiful place!

Our stay was great and it was an amazing experience! Ingrid's (our host's) accommodation is very cozy, quiet, comfortable and very clean. It is located in a magical place in the middle of lush vegetation. Every morning we had a great breakfast on the terrace enriched with bird watching. We had the best care we could get from Ingrid and her husband. This stay greatly enhanced our visit in Costa Rica. Thank you so much for your kindness and your care. The owner of the property was very sweet and welcoming - we were the only ones staying at the property the night we were there so she left the door unlocked for us and keys inside. She gave us some fresh fruit she had grown on the property and some homemade kombucha - YUM! The property was absolutely beautiful! With small rivers running on both sides of the hotel and a small suspension bridge over one side, waking up to the sounds of howler monkeys, and plenty of property and trees to go for a nice morning or evening walk, what more could you want?? Our only complaint is that we did not have more time to spend at this property, another night or two would have been fabulous but we were on the move. Our room was lovely as well, with two comfy queen sized beds in separate alcove areas, a pretty bathroom, small living area, and a basic kitchen equipped with a burner and coffee supplies. She also has one large shared fridge for everyone, which worked fine for the few items we had. If mosquitos love you as much as they love me - bring bug spray for those dusk/dawn walks or cover up!

We loved the beautiful property and that we could take a bath in the river right on the property! The studio was cozy and had a well-equipped kitchen where we cooked our meals. The host Ingrid is very welcoming and lovely and made our stay perfect! Thank you, we will be back!

It is cooler in the mountains, but it was still hot at times and a fan in the unit would have made it more comfortable.

Josh and Ingrid were nice and Xavier was incredibly friendly and kindly showed us animals around the property. the unit was nice and mostly comfortable, though a fan would have made it more comfortable at night. The property is beautiful and offers ample opportunities to see animals and swim without ever having to leave. It is conveniently close to town with food options and beautiful scenery at Juan Blanco.
