Bedrooms seems a bit old, and in some of the rooms you can hear others talk outside.

Feels like you are visiting a family. The staff are super friendly and will happily help you figure out transport to and from the airport. Big plus. Lovely garden to relax.

Lovely home from home hostel. Staff great, helpful and cheerful. Location good, in safe quite area, shops nearby. Kitchen you share with the home. Hot showers which is fab. Beds comfy, linen changed frequently as are towels. Lovely little garden area. Hosts will meet and drop off at airport for $10 each way.

Lovely people. They have adapt their own house to be a hostel. They took care of all the details. Super clean and comfortable. + pick up from the airport. I would highly recommend it for women travelling solo

This was my second stay at this hostel and after my last stay I told everyone to go there I’d they’re flying out of San Jose. Absolutely perfect for before/after flying, super homey, super clean, and I love the egg chair in the garden. Food here is super good too, I’d recommend paying the $6(?) for dinner.

Garden House is true to its name with a tranquil garden and beautiful plants; it is a nice and quaint property. The hostel is located in a safe area with security checking visitors before entering the community. It is a 5 minute drive to the airport. The dinner offered was delicious!

Really good value for money and great location close to the airport for late or early flights. The owners were really helpful and friendly, and can organise an airport pickup for an extra fee.

It's a family's home where they are kind enough to rent rooms and cook breakfast—that works for some people and not for others.

Nice host! Gerardo picked me up at the airport late, and was kind enough to wait for me at a 7-11 while I got money and a late snack after flying in from the US. It's a basic, simple no-frills hostel—perfect for a night before or after a flight.

Staff was so friendly and helpful, was perfect for my first night. I had arranged a pickup at the airport, had dinner there and even got my Kolbi SIM card and plan set up directly at the hostel. The room was clean and the bed was comfy with a little curtain around it.

The best hostel I have stayed in Costa Rica so far! Owners were so friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious and I felt so safe there. I’ll definitely be back and I would 100% recommend that to everyone who needs a place to stay close to the airport.

A very nice tiny Hostel with great staff. Perfect for the arrival or pre-departure night. I had a single room which had a very nice interior. The breakfast was typical Costa Rican. I will come again :)

No A/C, although the fan worked fine to acclimatize me to the humidity.

Family owned and operated. Shuttled me to my flight and verified my flight information to make sure I made it with ample time.
