Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomThe lodge is a true example of rewilding. Giovanni was the perfect host and told us about his story of developing the space. We saw more wildlife here than in the national parks. If you are looking for an authentic experience immersed in the jungle you should go here. La Fortuna is largely over developed and will not provide the isolation of wilderness you probably have in your mind for Costa Rica. The lodge is only 20 minutes drive there so this is the perfect place to enjoy the adventure tours it has to offer without the noise and development. The lodge also provides some of the best food we had on the trip and people were coming to the restaurant from miles away in the evening so do not need to venture out for your food. A must stay in Costa Rica!

Everything was great, family business running their Lodge with so much love. They were very welcoming and flexible to accommodate us. Our stay was fabulous, we saw sloths in the forest right next to our room and heard the forest night life, fabulous experience! We had everything we needed for our night there, highly recommended! Small attentions worth everything, would definitely come again.

GermanyEverything was just perfect. The garden is designed with a lot of love. You have the feeling to stay in the jungle. The host Giovanni runs the lodge with heart and soul and is always helpful and cordial. Also Giovanni and his kitchen chef were very ambitious in creating vegetarian options for us and decorated the plates lovely with little flowers from his garden.
