We loved how the house was tucked into nature and had trails right outside our door. We saw toucans, red eyed tree frogs and troops of Howler monkeys just a two minute walk from our place. The house had every creature comfort you could think of and was also very clean and spacious. We also really enjoyed the families dogs that kept us company outside- which by the way, the hosts are so friendly and accommodating. It was very difficult to leave! Thank you for a great time! We created some core memories as a family here- thank you!

Excellent accommodations, large and spacious living area, and kitchen. Close to city and stores. It's a good fit for larger families, with three nice rooms. Beautiful trails around the house and howler monkeys wake you in the morning.

Most of the windows would not lock (the property seems safe but it would be nice to have the option to lock them while we were out) and there were some spiderwebs throughout the house like in the lamps and ceiling. If you are renting a car we recommend an suv since getting there is via a rocky dirt road. Wish we were notified in advance.

everything was perfect!

This was my favourite accommodation in Costa Rica - a little piece of paradise. It was set on the owner's beautifully landscaped property, but was very private. Very high quality accommodation, even better than the pictures. We also enjoyed watching the howler monkeys in the trees above our cottage. Great location for visiting Rio Celeste and other attractions (we also enjoyed the Tree Chocolate Tour very much). The owners helpfully sent us detailed advice of things to do in the area well ahead of time so we could plan our time properly. We only stayed 2 nights but would have happily stayed much longer. Very friendly owners too.

The property is amazing! The groomed trails and foliage around the property were spectacular. We woke up everyday to monkeys every morning and many bird species. Very peaceful and spacious property. The wonderful hosts live onsite but there is plenty of distance between homes to feel private.

Great attention has been given to ensure that guests are comfortable and can enjoy their stay, there is nothing that we would change.

The house and grounds were beautiful, clean and well maintained. It was very comfortable for a family of 5. We enjoyed the ability to be able to explore on the property. The owner has taken great care and gone to a lot of expense and attention to detail to ensure that there were trails throughout the property, a covered overlook at the back of property with a picnic table so you can enjoy stunning views of the valley below and the mountains nearby, along with beautiful plants that attract hummingbirds and butterflies. We had long range views of the mountains, volcanos and thick forests. There were countless types of tropical birds and we enjoyed hearing the howler monkeys as the sun began to rise. What a unique experience that truly exceeded our expectations! Looking forward to one day returning here. We also appreciated that the owner was accessible and available to answer our questions when we needed them.

It was lacking a few things. No extra towels, or extra blankets. The washing machine is a bit difficult to use and the TV didn’t work lol.

It’s a beautiful little guest home. The grounds are beautiful and the trails on the property were short, but fun to walk around. Very very very clean and a great location. The owners were great and very communicative and helpful.

I am not sure if we were doing something wrong but we could not get any tv channels/satellite tv to work for us.

The pictures of this property do not do it justice. It is stunning. There was a family of howler monkeys right on the property. If you love nature and wildlife, this is the place for you!! The home was clean and Kamal and Bertha were excellent hosts. They provided many recommendations for activities around the property and we were very happy with all their suggestions. This property is in a great location if you want to visit Rio Celeste waterfall, sloths tours and chocolate tours. I highly recommend this property.

I only wish there was a clothesline indoor or a drying rack to hang my clothes after handwashing. We couldn't really leave our clothes to dry outside as it rains sporadically throughout the day.

The property is beautiful. There are so many trails you can take and see wildlife right on the premises. The house felt secure and the hosts, Bertha and Kamal, were wonderful people. Even the ground coffee in the kitchen was delicious! The location was also prime as it is close to many sights, tours and restaurants.

Second shower didn’t drain but not really an issue. Everything else was perfect during our stay.

The location was perfect for seeing the area. The grounds were immaculate and beautiful. Walking paths throughout the property where we saw howler monkeys, sloths, and various birds. The owners were very helpful with dining suggestions and things to do in the area.
