How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

the hallway we stayed in could use some additional cleaning or vacuuming. Maybe they were working on updating some of the rooms on the floor we stayed on as there was dried dirt going into several rooms.
The buffet was tasty and filling. Staff were friendly. Pool looked inviting. Close to the City Mall the largest mall in Central America. Close to the airport

The cost is very expensive compared to other hotels in the area. The restaurant breakfast cost $66 USD for two of us! It was outrageous! The charges were also very confusing as they didn’t tell you about $1000 USD for a deposit.
I liked it was close to the city mall. It was clean and pet friendly

Food and drinks are overpriced for the quality. The pool was very cold.
Huge bedroom. New facilities, all very clean. Helpful check in staff. Very convenient location for the mall and the airport.

Pool area could do with more pool seating.
Close to airport with shuttle every 30 mins. Very comfortable, clean and seems new. Attached to city mall, and had lovely outdoor pool. Restaurant and bar also nice. Very comfortable spot for our final night before early flight. Staff were all very nice and helpful.

Nice and comfortable rooms. Everything is quieter new. Great location, close to the airport (including free shuttle) and right next to a huge mall (for last minute souvenir shopping.

We booked for 3 people and received two double beds, but the room was clearly intended for two people. The double beds were tiny - I am not even sure if they had 140cm, we also received two bottles of water and two towel sets. After calling we of course received an extra set and an extra bottle, but still - it was really hard for two people to squeeze together on such a tiny bed. The breakfast was average, comparing to the other hotels from this chain.
It’s an okay hotel for a night before your next flight - clean and quite modern, the staff was also very nice and helpful. The location was perfect - 3 min drive front the airport. They also offer a free shuttle bus to the airport which was great for us.

Excellent breakfast and small restaurant in lobby open until 10pm.. Perfect for an overnighter in San Jose before continuing on to other parts of CR. Free airport shuttle was very convenient as well.

The bed size.
Overall the property was very nice, clean, close to the airport. The beds were a little small, I’d say a small double where typically you have a queen bed.

There was broken glass in my room in the shower and two pieces went into my foot. It was not big pieces but very small pieces of glass. I told the front desk the next morning.
When I checked in, they said it was free but when I got there in the morning, they wanted to charge me $20.

The quality of the breakfast could have been slightly better. Scrambled eggs were completely overdone. It is a pity because the restaurant offers good food and wine, so they know how to cook. Just the breakfast you feel that it is on the cheap side.
The property is great and the rate was good value for money. It is a brand new hotel and everything has been thought carefully.

My TV was broken, they charge for breakfasts and they ran out of product in my bathroom.
The location is so close to airport with free airport shuttle every 15 minutes. It is also located inside one of the best shopping malls in San Jose.

The key card handover at exactly 3pm! We arrived at 2.45pm.. I suspect the rooms were ready and it was a rules thing…
A beautiful, new, contemporary hotel with a nice relaxing vibe. The pool and pool bar was very nice and breakfast was very nice in the restaurant. The gym was also well equipped. Loved being walking distance to the Shopping Mall!

Bathroom could use more hooks for towels. For the price the room should include bathrobes. The pool doesn’t get sun in the afternoon and it was quite windy when I was there.
