Only suggestions I would have would be a chair in Room. Personally I would plant more flowers to attract Hummingbirds and Butterflies.

Nothing. You would need a car to be there as the town is a short drive but wasn’t a problem for us.

The hotel was fantastic! It was a serene, calm oasis with a laid-back feel to it. The rooms are basic but comfy with the addition of a lovely balcony with hammock. The pool is AMAZING - it was super hot whilst we were there so we spent most of our days at the hotel then when down to Montezuma in the late afternoon. Breakfast was really yummy and served on the open terrace everyday.

Not too much to complain about. The pancakes on the second morning were just saturated in fat and not edible ( contrasting with the beautiful cheese spinach omelette the day before). No soap to wash your hands in the bathroom ( there was shampoo and body wash). My credit card was charged for the stay without asking me how I wanted to pay. It was comparatively expensive for what it was but I was staying over new year.

I liked the style of the building (paired back colonial), the swimming pool which was a nice size and salt water with a great outdoor shower, the grounds, the balcony with hammock. It was a nice little hotel, perfect for a romantic stay.

Nothing really...

This hotel shines in its layed back luxury. It's grounds are glorious. The hotel itself is simple, clean and has a colonial style that makes one feel on holiday. The man who runs it is helpful, kind and has an obvious passion for the area. The vibe is casual, breakfast (very yummy) is included and there is a fridge to store anything else you want. The pool area is a gem. The rooms have Aircon and a ceiling fan. They also have good shower pressure. The balcony has a hammoc.

What a wonderful place! Everything was exceptional from the beautiful house, the rooms, the breakfast to the wonderful pool. Wished we could have stayed longer! Felt extremely welcomed and at ease as soon as we arrived. Would highly recommend but need a car to drive into town.

Beautiful, clean accommodation! With delicious breakfast. The atmosphere in the hotel was quiet and the decor was pleasant and comfortable and also a lovely large swimming pool! Herve helped us out with good recommendation to eat and had good suggestions how to travel further on because there was a roadblock Thx so much!! Herman en Gea

Juan is an excellent host, with lots of information on where to park and where to eat in Montezuma. The king room is very good, spacious, and clean. Nice facilities. Breakfast was excellent. We only stayed two nights and arrived late on the first night and then departed early on the day of departure. I would have liked to stay longer, only we were on a tight timetable.

Almost everything is great, but keep in mind, that it's not really walking distance to town (Montezuma). So a car would be nice, unless you want to walk.

We loved the calmness of this place and enjoyed our stay very much, although the hotel is out of Montezuma. Breakfast was also very nice! Nice owner.

It is not necessarily something we didn’t like but maybe it could be nice to have the possibility of purchasing some drinks and snacks at the property :)

We loved our stay at Hotel Horizontes de Montezuma! The location is perfect for when you have access to a car and want a calmer area. The hotel is located on the hill, a bit further away from the busy restaurant/shop area but still within short driving distance. The staff is super friendly and helpful! The breakfast is delicious. The pool is nice and refreshing and beautiful especially at nighttime under the stars. The rooms are easy, comfortable and clean. Perfect getaway spot for easygoing couples!

not a walkable way to city, need car. ask for driving instruction from the hotel before arriving. Don't trust Waze or Google map.

We felt like guests in the most positive meaning, not like clients. Very friendly staff, great breakfast, clean rooms. You can swim in the pool at night and watch the stars. The hotel has not that many rooms and it never feels crowded. The area around the building is large and you can see wild animals. The location of the hotel itself is on some really steep hills, perfect if you like to hike (otherwise a car or similar is really recommended)
