The bathroom smelled.

We loved the location and closeness to Manuel Antonio National Park. The lounging in the pool was great. We also loved that it had a gate that was guarded and felt safe leaving our car with luggage as we went to the park.

Further away from centre of manual antonio (steep hills) however really easy bus to catch to town.

Really clean and great pool. Aircon and bathroom were great. Comfy beds. Helpful staff. Can get laundry done. Close to national park and beach.

It is a basic hotel, the staff are very nice and friendly. It is clean. The pool is small but nice. It is in a very busy street by the park entrance, but it is very quiet at night. The first morning, I watched some white face monkeys playing in a tree facing my balcony, There are a lot of very good restaurant close by. There is a "Soda" right next door is really good and prices are reasonable, considering how touristy this area is. The buffet style breakfast is very good. The coffee is good and available all day.

The room was a little small, air conditioning was working but sometimes a little uncomfortable. Bed could have been more comfortable.

The only thing to be aware of was that we did not have hot water, so if that's deal breaker for you, stay somewhere else. No other problems.

Everything was wonderful. Good breakfast, wonderful staff, nice pool, easy to get to park and beach. Saw lots of wildlife just walking around.

The real attraction is the proximity to Manuel Antonio Park, so it's not like the hotel is really luxurious. Also, the staff, while friendly, didn't seem so knowledgable about things like transportation or even the local area.

Everything was efficient, and seemed fairly new and clean. The (small) pool was actually usable. The price was okay for the area -- all the hotels in the ar5ea seemed a little overpriced, because it's right next to the entrance to Manuel Antonio Park. The staff were friendly enough, and the reception area was nice and cool -- a big open area with ceiling fans, and it offered free coffee all day.

Can't complain too much given the hotel is extremely close to the park (and by extension the forest), but we had a cockroach take up residence in our bathroom.

Located about 50m from Manuel Antonio park entrance, our fear was it would be extremely noisy. However, once you walked through the gate, it was noticeably quieter and once the park closed was very quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful - breakfast every morning was great with a good selection (cereal, toast, eggs & bacon etc.) Pool was nice to relax around, especially after a hot day.

I didn't like the ants in the room. It made it uncomfortable because there were a lot.

I really liked the staff. The front desk girls and the breakfast girls. They are really friendly and helpful. The one that works at night was my favorite. I forgot her name but she was doing multiple things and did it so great. She helped me book for the park as well. She was so nice and very helpful.

Gorgeous pool, hot coffee available any time of day (great for birders). Our room had air conditioning which was critical for the extremely hot afternoon. The staff were super kind and helpful, and the location couldn't have been better for exploring Manuel Antonio NP.

During the night we found two cockroaches in the room.

I really have to recommend this hotel highly. The receptionist was really great, she was very nice. It is possible to park in the hotel or if you arrive late like us, in front of the hotel. This option is great because you don't have to worry about parking when going to Manoel Antonio Park. The room was huge, nice and well-equipped. The hotel also has a great swimming pool. The location of the hotel is amazing, right next to Manoel Antonio park.

When I booked the hotel two months earlier, I was asked to pay 50% of the full price in advance. Thought I had made the payment, the staff said I had not, an unsatisfactory situation. Would have been happy to pay via Booking.com

Very convenient for the National Park and quite close to the town beach. A good variety of restaurants nearby. The swimming pool on site was small but adequate. A coffee machine available at any time was a bonus.

Tricky to find as access gated. A bit busy and touristy for our liking. Very steep stairs to our bedroom.

The room...the bed was uncomfortable. It was really worn down and you could feel the springs in the mattress.
