Interior is outdated and old The bedrooms are squeezed with a bunk bed and a normal bed... Not good for claustrophobic people Couch is sticky, coffee maker but no coffee, glasses.were all dirty , sorry but nothing I can recommend

I thought the accommodation was grim and depressing, needing significant modernisation and industrial cleaning. Kitchen area dire. Bedrooms like a glorified bunkhouse with old utility type furniture . No hot water or mirror in bathroom for shaving.

The accommodation itself had no redeeming features. The view from the verandah was fabulous.

Hard to find (little signage on the road). Old. Poorly lit. Lacking in dishes. A/C leaking if pushed too much/long. Noise from adjacent rooms and restaurant. Overall it felt like staying at the Y.

The only really nice things were the view from our casita over the ocean, the hammock at the front and the location in the heart of Quepos en route to Manuel Antonio. Not all rooms have a view. Facilities are old and in need of a serious upgrade. The Lagarto restaurant next door is very good but pricey.

The kitchen has very very old pans and plates. There is nothing to cook, everything was very dirty and unusable to cook.

Not much! Rooms are not cleaned during our stay, and so we had to go and ask for more toilet roll.

Loved our stay at Pura Natura! We had one of the apartments that had a terrace with a hammock and the view over the jungle and facing the ocean was just amazing! Everyday we watched Parrots and all kinds of other birds fly past. Such a great spot. The hotel is in a rather quieter area of MA but there are other restaurants and also supermarkets nearby. I really liked the location though as I really felt "in" the nature. Staff at hotel really friendly as well.

Toilet didn’t work on its own - always had to force the flap to close. No real temp control on the shower. Was told to adjust on the shower head - which was over 7’ high. My husband tried adjusting it and got it turned down a little. But it was still quite hot water… not what you want when coming in from 90+ F temps. Minimal lighting throughout. Despite the pool shown in the pics … it’s only for the people in the “deluxe” apartments. Thankfully the staff let us use it. But very deceiving to see that on the listing and then get there to find out we weren’t supposed to use it. Kitchen cabinets falling apart. Front door lock was very difficult to use. Bathroom “window” was open air to the outside with bars on it.

It wasn’t very clean. The kitchen & bathroom needed a thorough clean. Only 1 bathroom for a total of 12 people. It did the job for me for 2 nights but I wouldn’t have stayed longer.

The kitchen was really awful when it comes to the equipment, there wasn't enough first of all. Then they were dirty and very poor quality (unlike what you can find in other hostels). There wasn't even enough of the basics like glasses, cutlery, and plates. It is regrettable because the owner has the initiative to put ACs in all rooms, and can't invest a little more to his kitchens. Apart from the price, People travel in hostels mainly because you can cook your own food, as long as you can find a functional kitchen... In Vista Serena, it was a challenge to cook anything... Also, I didn't like the attitude of the lady at the desk, very insistent on selling us her "tour deals". My suggestion, for the price you pay there you have better locations... I felt that I should have switched with the hostel TEVA behind them, as they have a better-equipped kitchen and more sophisticated and modern facilities. And anyway, you have an awful load of other hostels there.

The location is great, nice view indeed. There is a very nice trail behind the hostel that has a beautiful free wild forest to walk in.

Seems it may be a family run hostel? They were all kind to me and very welcoming. It was a lovely experience. Really amazing views. Wildlife sounds and bird fly bys! Cute cat.
