There is a slight hangover feel of an old smoking hotel to the place, as though most but not all hallways/carpets etc have been renovated from the past. The location is a little far from things but if you have a car (parking on site) or are just passing through San Jose it doesn't matter. We would stay again.

Absolutely amazing staff! Especially Veronica and Jorge (and one other young woman whose name I forget!) who went above and beyond to help us book things and get where we needed - we were so impressed with them we changed our booking on return to San Jose to stay with them again! Nice hotel feel with a little plant garden area, definitely get the upgraded room as there is more light and the rooms are more spacious. Comfortable beds, good breakfast. This place changed our whole holiday because of how good the staff were!

The facilities are a bit old, they need to renew their AC system, it is noisy.

The staff friendliness is remarkable. They all go above and beyond to assist their guests. My room had a balcony and a great view of San Jose.

The room was a little small and didn’t have a table for me to work on.

I stayed at this hotel for 10 days. I really liked the fact the room was really clean, it had really fast internet which was important for me as I worked remotely. They also have an office which you can use which was very convenient!

They didnt tell me at the begining of my stay that tap water was potable, so i asked for water bottles that were charged to my room but after that they unformed me that tap water was drinkable.

Everything, included breakfast was delicious, decoration was beautiful in the room and the common areas of the hotel, the staff was super nice, they gave me maps, indications, tips and almost planned my vacations.

The hotel is not within walking distance to any major place of interest. If you don't drive, you will have to depend on Uber as public transportation is not so easy to navigate.

There is not enough space, but in a nutshell, I felt right at home. Jorge would always greet me by name and checked to ensure that I was okay or needed help with anything. He made me feel like a valued guest and even assisted me in getting an affordable sim card shortly after I arrived. This turned out to be a lifesaver. I would recommend it even for a short stay. In general the staff was friendly; however, Dora at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and went oyt of her way to provide me with assistance. The buffet breakfast was good in general even though there were some things I could not eat because I am vegetarian + fish. The fruits were also fresh, and there were between 4-5 fruits daily. There were some good options, and the food was hot/warm. There is a Cantonese restaurant with vegetarian options. I enjoyed the meals that I got there. The bed was comfortable, and there were many pillows (though they could be a bit former). I appreciated having a patio with furniture, so I could relax in the evening. The water pressure in the bathroom was really heavy, and it did not take long for the water to get hot. The tea maker, safe, toiletries, and fridge were also really great to have. There was a generous amount of hangers; the closet had a door; and there was a full length mirror. A major plus for me was that the hotel was quiet, especially at night. The hotel is located near to a very busy road, but I did not even notice when I was in my room which was on the ground floor. I liked the lounge area, and the decor of the hotel overall. The plants everywhere was a nice touch. You can also access their business centre which can be handy if you need to use a computer. The hotel is located within walking distance to a supermarket and other restaurants, so you have options for food. I also felt safe in general. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

They have trouble processing credit card payments because of internet connection at front desk. Besides that everything was excellent. Tony Five stars!!

We arranged in advance , for a shuttle to pick us up at the airport .... the shuttle was nowhere to be found , so we took a taxi , which worked out fine ... the hotel staff apologized , but we thought that it was strange , as we made it very clear of our flight and arrival time ..... no big deal , the taxi was fine ....

The staff are very attentive , rooms are clean and beds are comfortable ... we had rooms facing toward the garden and also the back of the hotel ... it was surprisingly quiet ! The included breakfast was really good ! I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone , and would not hesitate to stay there again .

The room was too cold. I don't understand why everything has to be cooled down to freezer temperature when it is warm outside, which makes people sick, the huge temperature differences.

The balcony adds great value, everything was clean, room service and a restaurant add comfort for a stay after or before a flight, the staff was very helpful and friendly.

The restaurant didn't have much variety, only Chinese food. It was tasty food, but would have been nice for a bit more variety.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, and it was so nice to have a little garden in my room. Very nice breakfasts.

Isla Verde was truly an Oasis in the middle of the city! They served breakfast at the restaurant and the lounge/foyer was beautifully designed with a large garden. Good space to work and not far from shopping mall - Multi Plaza Escazu, I took an UBER for less than C3000.

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel! The hospitality was absolutely amazing - the concierges, parking attendant, housekeepers, and restaurant staff were so kind and helpful. Great location, price, and breakfast. I would 100% recommend staying here if you’re traveling to the San Jose area!
