The staff members of this hotel were just amazing and made our stay a real experience. They did at every time their utmost to make our stay as wonderful as possible. Lovely hotel, amazing staff, great food. We would definitely come back.

We had an amazing stay, staff is very helpful and friendly, the couple massage was super relaxing. The food is really good. Very clean and high standard. We also had the chance to see some wild Ara Macao flying around in front of the hotel during breakfast !! Magical

While the location, food, and rooms were all fantastic, by far the best aspect of this property was how wonderful the staff is! They are attentive, caring, and go out of their way to be helpful without seeming overwhelming.

We loved our stay at issimo! It was the best sleep we got the entire trip. It was so peaceful and comfortable there. The food there is so good, we enjoyed the breakfast and ended up eating most dinners there because we liked it so much! David, the chef, was so friendly and even gave us the recipe to our favorite dish! The servers work hard and are fun to chat with. The pool setup is really nice and we liked the easy access to several different beaches. I got a massage and mini facial and my face felt so good after a week in the humidity. I hope we can go back sometime soon!

No downsides. Ok maybe one: be careful in the shower it can be slippery. Like showers everywhere.

The view. That breathtaking view. With macaws flying over and trees and ocean as far as you can see. The pool which is bigger than it seems on the pictures and great for morning laps. And of course: The staff. They make you feel so welcome and are anticipating your needs flawlessly. Even just being served breakfast with such great staff makes you feel lucky. We especially loved the American breakfast pancakes. It’s not a huge hotel (which I like) and it has a lovely beach vibe. Beaches on walking distance (200m) but they do provide a shuttle service. They also seemed perfectly at ease serving a ♀♀couple. Love!

Our only complaint is that the Wi-Fi wasn’t great and there is no free coffee. The coffee in the room was $5 but is included with the free breakfast.

The room is amazing. A beautiful balcony to watch the sunset and a really nice Jacuzzi tub. The staff are so helpful and friendly. They have a great drink called BBC and it is but one get one free at happy hour. We swam both days during that time and had drinks brought to us. You can see monkeys, lizards and macaws from your room. Just a 5 minute walk to a nice secluded beach.

My hotel safe was broken. Several ceiling lights and wall light switches didn’t work in my room.

The view and location are spectacular. The staff is friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable. My room was quiet. Loved the in-room spa-tub! The cleaning staff was exceptional. The pool area was nice and well kept.

Rooms need a complete redo Very Old style for upscale prices … swinging doors to access toilet a pain…we used a chair to hold door open, swimming pool so deep not possible to just lounge in water/ if you can’t swim a major issue/ location is isolated..need to have a car or take taxi/ Uber to access Manuel Antonio main beach We ate at hotel restaurant only 1 night as very expensive $$$$

Hotel Discriminates - do not stay at this Hotel The Issimo Suites hotel in Manuel Antonio discriminates against people with disabilities. The Costa Rica law states; people with disabilities who use service dogs should have access to any building structure regardless of whether it is public or private. This hotel did not allow us entry into our booked Honeymoon Suite with Ocean View room with our certified service dog. After not allowing us entry, both Booking.com and the Issimo Suites hotel did not refund us our paid six nights stay. Do the right thing do not stay at this hotel.

The room was outdated. The bathroom had a strange set up where you don't have privacy at all including the toilet and shower. We paid a lot to have a nice view from the balcony but the view was partly blocked off by the room next door and thick metal bars. A bit disappointing experience and overall, overpriced.

Nice view from the restaurant and pool area. Breakfast was decent. Staff was nice.

Slippery rocks over bathroom floors and in showers. Best rooms are the penthouse suites but you must climb three flights. The front suites also have a first flight of stairs made of uneven stone that is very slippery when wet. Restaurant is incredibly over priced and at night there is nothing to eat or drink as they use sliding metal doors and padlocks to close the kitchen. Very hard to get an extra towel. Owner seems to live on site and I don't think his presence has a calming effect on anyone.

Bed was dirty and bathroom was dirty. Lots of hair in both. Doubt the bed had been changed. Brought it to staff's attention and they basically called us a liar. We ended up getting new sheets and had to make our own bed. The room didn't have enough coffee supplies, so we asked for more. The kitchen staff is who we were told to ask, who promptly ignored me for 30 minutes and pointed at his watch to say he was not open yet. Once I did get a small pot of coffee, he then told me I could have a refill because he needed coffee for his kitchen. I asked for more coffee make supplies, which they then charged me a LOT for. Will never stay here again. Go up the hill to LA Mariposa, they know how to treat people and its much nicer.

Location is good, but there are better views in manuel, such as LA mariposa.

OUTDATED!!! How I would love the opportunity to bring this gem of a place into the 21st century - the potential is amazing! Wines poor and ridiculously priced.

Issimo Suites is as conveniently located as are many in this neighborhood. We had spent 5 nights at Makanda by the Sea prior to this, and I do believe the view is better here. But that’s about it for 100 bucks a night less. Our room was comfy. The pool was refreshing. But this hotel is definitely getting their 9 point rating on the staff, from front desk to wait staff to chef and golf cart driver! The owner of Issimo Suites, who drives a beautiful Range Rover and lives on the property, is fortunate to have these lovely people and I sure hope he appreciates them as much as we did!! Thank you Oscar, Manuel, Jose, and girls on the front desk… you are amazing. Our dinner was delicious too.

Only slight downside to staying here is that it's a bit of a trek from the hotel to town. you have a fairly steep uphill walk. We actually kind of enjoyed it, but just be warned you need to be in decent shape or else plan to drive.

Very little places to park.

The pool was my favorite part about the hotel. The pool had a gorgeous view of the ocean. The hotel service was very helpful by providing good information about Costa Rica when Asked. Also, it was short drive to Manuel Antonio Beach.

I would have to say that my least favorite was not having any counter top space in the bathroom to set personal items.

We loved almost everything about it. it was relaxing, comfortable, clean, inviting, and the staff was top notch.
