During our stay in Costa Rica, we spent nights at 6 different hotels and this one was easily the best. This place is like a nice little haven in a peaceful town close to Quepos and Manuel Antonio. The facilities were fantastic and I could go on and on about how comfortable the beds were. We got to see many sloths in the area and the beach is stunning and peaceful - a very short walk from the hotel. Also the breakfast was like going to a restaurant - SO good!! Just as the website says, I only wish we had planned to stay here longer. I also honestly couldn’t believe this place was so reasonably priced for what you’re getting.

Perfect location for a romantic getaway. Not much nearby except a gorgeous empty beach and great food from a few local sodas (cafes). The staff is wonderful and the rooms and grounds are beautiful.

Nothing. All was perfect

Everything was perfect! From the gorgeous gardens, the monkeys, Sloths, beautiful walking distance beach, delish breakfast, modern and comfortable accommodation, yet jungle with a piece of paradise, to the loving, catering, welcoming and precious owners and staff. This was the best place to take our vacation ever. What a wonderful experience my husband and I had. The owner made us breakfast every morning and served us herself. A perfect balance as the other owner, her kind hubby kept and tended to the most beautiful, tropical and paradise peaceful gardens. Teddy and Dama spoiled us rotten . Two caretakers who we will keep in our hearts. So much to say that is wonderful about this place. Words are not enough. You need to experience this yourselves. We highly recommend.

Really beautiful accommodation, very comfortable large bed, huge bedroom and bathroom, new quiet A/C, very clean room, nice swimming pool, tranquil setting. Breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious! This really is a little gem of an accommodation where every detail has been thought about! Nice location near a quiet beach. Would definitely stay again!

Very nice place close to a beautiful beach with lots of wildlife around. We saw 8 sloth, several scarlet macaw, iguanas and capuchin monkeys around.

Beautiful garden and nice pool area. The hotel where we saw the most animals throughout our holiday in Costa Rica. Perfect location, if you are searching for a relaxed private atmosphere and also good starting point for trips to Manuel Antonio, Dominical or Uvita.

I stayed at Jardin de los monos only for a very short stay. I fell in love with the place immediately. The rooms are big, clean and very nice. I woke up to a garden full of monkeys and even saw two sloths. They seem to be living in their garden. It was all very exciting. Lettika is very attentive and makes you feel at home. She also prepares the breakfast for you herself and it is very good. The beach is only minutes away by foot and it is very beautiful. I would definitely coming back.

it was our best stay through out our trip in Costa Rica - the room is big, well equipped and quiet, the garden looks like a cozy jungle, the owner serves delicious breakfast with multiple options and there were actual slots living in the nearby trees. the matapao beach is one of the best beaches of costa rica, almost intact - only 5 min from the house

We are in love with this place!

Perfect paradise. Really lovely Dutch owners, perfect spacious clean room and bathroom with very good shower. Amazing breakfast. Really lovely pool. But the best part is staying in the middle of the jungle, waking up with white faced monkeys in the garden. We could have stayed forever.

Great location, 3min walk from the wonderful Matapalo beach. You can have hammocks for the beach (for free). Breakfast was good. Nice breakfast area. Monkeys and sloths are around the BnB. The host Lettika is very friendly and is glad to help if you have any questions.

Everything was perfect! The room, pool area, garden, breakfasts, and all the amazing animals we saw including tons of capuchin monkeys, several sloths, a kinkajou, and a migration of land crabs just blew us away! Lettika has put so many special touches to the entire property and we loved everything so much. The property is so close to a beautiful and not busy beach which was so special. Sunsets were incredible. Jardin de los Monos was the most relaxing part of our two week trip to Costa Rica.

We stayed four days and the same breakfast was served every day: orange juice, fresh fruit or fruit smoothy (very popular in Costa Rica), Dutch pancake or homemade rosemary toast, and eggs, coffee or tea. Some variety would have been welcomed as this got boring. The swim up bar is help yourself. Also, we asked where to get cold water on the first day as we drink a lot of water in the hot weather. We were told we could buy bottled water from her fridge at the pool or go to the store down the lane. Later I asked about ice, and again told I could go buy it at the store. Later it was provided in the self-help bar fridge. Need to bring your own beach towels.

Location was wonderful, a beautiful quiet beach with gorgeous sunsets was a short 4 min walk away. Our room, #3 was on the ground floor just across from the pool. Enough privacy but also with a view of the interior "courtyard". Very nice room. Excellent bed. Comfortable seating outside our room. Good size pool that has a deep end. Pool towels provided and a beach mat.

The breakfasts were great. The pool and surrounds were beautiful, very quiet and restful. We especially enjoyed the show the monkey's would put on around the grounds in the evenings and mornings. A Sloth was sited each day on the property and around the area. Enjoyed the beach it is very close the currents are strong but there is plenty of warning for that to be prepared for. At times during the day we had it almost to ourselves! Great Beach sunsets. The bed was super comfy, the airconditioning and hot water all worked exceptional. So glad we stayed here over the busy, loud, traffic congestion that Manuel Antonio area offered.
