Hotel Kokoro is such a special property with beautifully manicured grounds nestled into the jungle. The staff were all very welcoming and so kindl! One of the grounds keepers, Francisco, found us in the pool to show us a sloth resting in a tree just near the mineral baths! He then kindly treated us to fresh coconuts from a tree onsite! He was so gracious and certainly made our final day one for the books! Muchos gracias Francisco!! The rooms were wonderful, big & spacious, each with a nice outdoor space! Breakfast was nice and simple, making for a delicious start to the day! And the location was perfect as Kokoro is just a few minutes drive outside of downtown La Fortuna but also super close to the public hot spring river, just up the road. And the Kokoro mineral baths were incredible! Before arriving, we had considered booking a day at one of fancy & expensive hot spring/spa resorts but there was no need. Kokoro provided such a peaceful & quiet hot spring experience with multiple levels ranging from very hot to more mild temps and a lovely pool to cool off in as well! We would come back to Kokoro & La Fortuna in a heartbeat and would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers looking for a relaxed & calm hotspring experience! We only wish we had more time!! no complaints, the front dest staff were helpful and friendly, natural springs hot tubs were relaxing, and we enjoyed the pool. We had very good food at dinner. Breakfast was included in price for the room; it was pretty good, buffet style.

The rooms are quite dark (one lamp didn't have a lightbulb) and the bathrooms didn't feel like they'd had a proper deep clean for a long time (particularly the shower). Lots of mildew. Expected it to be a little cleaner.

AMAZING views!!! The pool was fantastic. Breakfast buffet was a hit with everyone in my family. The AC worked great. We loved how many animals we saw on property! (Sloths, pizotes, agouti, so many birds, toucans, etc). The hot springs were relaxing and lovely but not always "running". Loved that we were basically across the street from the Sloffee Coffee cafe and a quick drive to many restaurants and sights.

Hot waters look a bit funky, They are clean, and the hotel has chemical tests to prove it but still looks a bit discurage

The room view was great. They have a few slots in the gardens to see. Free breakfast, and complementary driks all day. Staff was very friendly.

There was nothing I didn't like about Kokoro and I will definitely go back if I am in Costa Rica again.

The breakfast was great, the rooms were clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the pool and on-site hot springs. The staff were friendly and helpful, the views of Arenal were magnificent, and we saw a sloth in one of the trees. This was one of my favourite places that we stayed in Costa Rica.

The breakfast was basic. The restaurant claims to be a mix of Costa Rican and Japanese food but we didn't find anything like that on the menu for dinner.

Nice thermal springs and great reception area. Very big spacious family villas. The bonus was we saw a sloth in the hotel grounds and lovely to see the currasows just running around.

Everything had a bit of age and could use a brush-up but still it has Charme.

It is a little paradise with marvelous views to the vulcano from every spot of the compound. Very quiet and relaxing. Gardens well groomed. You are in touch with nature. Rooms are really spacious. We very much enjoyed the hot pools and the swimming pools. Breakfast was much to our likes (fresh fruits and local food). We liked that we had the option of a restaurant after a strenuous day out in nature. It is outside of La Fortuna (you need a car to get into the town) on the road to the national park.

The property is amazing. Beautiful grounds. We used the pool and hot tubs each day. We saw three sloths in the property and red eyed frogs. Many birds also. There are nice paths. It’s very charming.

At breakfast we had to ask the staff to fill up the fruit and set out coffee cups.

Amazing location and view of the volcano. There was a beautiful yoga spot and sloths and fronts right on the property. The staff (Francisco) were so helpful to point these out. We loved our private cabin and the grounds on the property were incredible. Felt like we were in a tropical oasis.

The cabin we were in was a little run down, but still fine for a place to sleep at night.

The property was overall beautiful with the foliage. It had a great deal of wildlife and the hot springs were great. The restaurant was quaint and the staff were very helpful. What made the overall stay good, was the view of Mt. Arenal.

Even though the hot spring pools were very nice, the experience didn't seem to be consistent throughout the day. During the night the temperature seemed to be more consistent, but early in the morning (~10am), 2 of the 3 were completely empty.

The property is really nice, the room was super spacious, more like a little cabin. The gardens are well kept and we spotted tons of different types of birds. The hot spring pools were nice and relaxing.

Rooms could be updated a little. We had a lot of rain while we were there so access to a dryer would have been handy. All our clothes were damp.

Breakfast was buffet style. Good with lots of choice. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Loved the hot springs and the landscaping. You felt like you were in the middle of a forest. Lots of birds,wildlife.
