I did not like how the staff does not work the whole night, meaning that some things must be asked for prior to 8pm even if you don't know you need them. There are no windows, but rather open blinds that block out insects so it is important to note that if you are afraid or wake up from noise.

I loved the view, the breakfast options, the ability to wake up in a forest like environment.

Sadly there was no breakfst, but available coffee to be made in the open space. Lighting in the room could be improved.

The location is great, right in front of the sea, with a terrace full of relaxing hammocks, great to get fresh air away from direct sun. The beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom have a good size, with fans for the heat. the place was clean.

The Vegatarian omelette for breakfast was awesome! The room was pretty decent with 4 beds and 3 breakfast included for $90. Things that sucked- get used to it if your in Costa Rica - all beds are hard at pretty much every hotel you go to- do yourself a favor and bring an eggshell mattress cover with you like we do- 5 stars at every 1 star😆 Make sure if you get the front room to put a sound machine on - the windows in the front are slatted and they don’t close and motos go by at random hours of the night and your right next to the road. We put the towels up in those windows to cover them so the AC would Make the room cold - it did - but you only get a sheet for a cover - also very typical Costa Rican. Location for Montezuma Falls is a 10 star- it’s next to the parking lot for the hiking up trail! No surfing within walking distance. The upstairs deck has like 10 hammocks and games if you get to stay for more relax time!

The windows have no glass so we could hear the other guests in the „public area“ with the hammocks quite loud sometimes.

The room (junior suite on the first floor) was a little small but clean and comfortable. The staff is super cute and helpful and they have two adorable dogs. We saw an agutis, an iguana and hummingbirds in the adjacent garden. The breakfast is really good and you can choose between different options. We enjoyed the location a little outside of the town and you only need about 10 minutes to get there.

The restaurant closed during the stay due to end of high season. Understandable but sad, because the breakfast was good.

The people of the place did a great job. When the air conditioning cut off during our last night, they gave us a discount and gave us the laundry without charge. The place has a nice lounche area with hammocs and table games. Fasilities to make coffee for free. Great way to start the day when you wake up early. And sometimes you see animals and birds during sunrise.

Their usually check in is 9pm. They accommodated us and let us come check in at 11. When we got there we were welcomed by a friendly face and he took us straight to our room. Was such a relief as our other hotel canceled bc they ran out of rooms. They took us on with such a late booking with no issues and open arms. Breakfast was also included which was very tasty and made to order. The staff was even nice enough to let us use the bathroom even after we were already checked out. We went hiking nearby and bumped into a hotel staff member and he was kind enough to let us use the bathroom. The views are beautiful from the hotel as well. The hotel is also right next to Montezuma Waterfalls which is an amazing hiking experience!

Location was great. Right near the start of the path to the waterfall in Montezuma. At night you can hear the river and the ocean. We booked a “junior suite”, had a double bed and air conditioning. A/C worked great. It’s about a 7min walk into Montezuma along the waterfront (flat terrain walk). We loved this, as Montezuma can get very loud with music and party’s at night. We were close by but far enough away to enjoy the peacefulness. The place is well maintained and very clean. The breakfast was excellent. The people who own and work at La Cascada are very nice and welcoming. This is among my top 2 spots to stay in Montezuma. I would definitely return.

Slightly outdated, overpriced for what you get.

Fairly clean, could do with an update. Breakfast is not available. Great location, right next to the waterfall, a short 7 min walk into town.

The room was aweful. Super hot small, dark, stinky. We payed 50 dollar a night for trash. Go search another place. Hotel Lucy for instance is 20m from it and charges only 20$

Being so close to the waterfall there is sometimes a very disgusting smell in the hotel that should be told to customers before booking. The hotel staff were not too concerned however about this.

Free coffee was good and the hotel itself is nice.
