La Finca Lodge is a beautiful oasis, surrounded by nature, serviced by the nicest people you could ever meet. Our room (Mango) was perfect. Food served at breakfast and dinner was great. We did the horseback riding through sloth forests, fast moving rivers and sugarcane fields with Carlos who was a perfect guide. All in all, a magical experience and highly recommend. We didn't want to leave 💚

This Finca is Amazing. We enjoyed EVERYTHING! Staff was extremely professional and helpful. The owners are beautiful people who take care of this place with love. Breakfast was included and it was delicious. We also tried to have dinner almost everyday at the restaurant because it was so good. Wished we could've stayed longer.

Everything about our stay here was fantastic! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was perfect for a day of exploring and we always came back to a delicious dinner. There was so much to do on the property alone and was a great place to reach other parts of town while also being in more of a local area.

It is a little far away from La Fortuna (if what you are looking for is closeness), however if you are looking for a secluded beautiful place, this place is for you. The road to get to the place was a little tricky, however Google Maps is recommended to drive here, and you will arrive just fine.

The property is beautiful, has lots of animals and nature surrounding it. The room was big, super clean and comfortable. The food was very good and tasty. The staff is kind, very attentive and helped us a lot.

The staff was excellent, always kind and with a smile ready to greet you for the day. Very professional and helpful with anything. The food was amazing. The wait staff was excellent and friendly. It was in a peaceful and quiet location which added to the tranquility of what a vacation should be. Rooms were very clean. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a vacation destination.

Very friendly family run place. Exceptional food, we had two breakfasts and one dinner at the onsite restaurant, all of which was delicious. Our family room was spacious and modern, and we had a comfy hammock to relax on. We went on the horseback riding tour and had an amazing time, the horses are well cared for and guide Carlos was very good at teaching our group of mostly beginners. Surroundings are gorgeous and it was a lovely walk between our room and the restaurant/pool area (though up and down a moderate hill). The owners and their sons evidently cared a lot about the property and their attention to detail was much appreciated.

The property was phenomenal. There were beautiful views and incredible access to nature. The staff was attentive and provided wonderful recommendations for activities and food. The food was delicious and we ended up opting to eat dinner at the lodge rather than going out on several occasions. It truly felt like a slice of paradise.

Awesome place, the family has built such a beautiful and peaceful place. Room has a big balcony with a view of the garden and the mountains, all is very comfortable. The kitchen is great for both breakfast and dinner. We went on an ATV tour to the hot springs, which was very cool and exciting. There is a swimming pool and jacuzzi, which is very relaxing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is absolute nothing not to like about this place, we even booked an extra night.

Everything about our stay was ideal. But most of all, they made us feel like part of their family. We loved all of the animals, enjoyed horseback, riding with Carlos as our guide. Mariano and Andres were available for absolutely anything we needed from the front desk via WhatsApp, which was really handy to communicate – an extra towel or ordering room service. Andreas even brought me an umbrella in a downpour to our room because he knew I was going out. They had great suggestions for activities. You can book when you get there for most things, so don’t stress about being overly planned. Last, but not least, Dennis took such great care of us at almost every meal. The food was amazing, but we just looked forward to chatting with Dennis – he was so friendly and had helpful suggestions and helped us with our Spanish! Monica also took great care of us. Wish it was closer so we could go back soon. Our two daughters (13 and 16) loved all the animals and night swims in the pool after dinner. It was such a perfect place to start our vacation feeling like a home away from home, perfect to unwind and get into the vacation pace and learn to live la Pura Vida! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Nothing really. I would add a few mirrors in the room since the only mirror is in the bathroom and with a family of four the ladies could use another mirror instead of waiting to use the one in the bathroom.

The place was clean, the view and the grounds were so beautiful. Love the lush vegetation, the porch with hamock and the privacy of each room. We saw parrots, hummingbirds and other animals. The breakfast and dinner was very delicious; great chefs. Everyone was nice and very helpful; especially love Monica, Andrezj and Dennis. Nice to have 24 hours access to pool and hot tub. The ATV tour was also very good.

The only potential negative is that I thought the lodge was closer to La Fortuna than it actually was (35-45 minutes). If I had done a little bit more research I would have figured that out before we traveled, but I'm happy that I DIDN'T realize that because we ended up really enjoying staying at the lodge and I may not have booked it had I known the distance from all of the sightseeing activities in the area. The way we got around that is by hiring a driver but many people rent their own vehicles and feel comfortable driving around Costa Rica on their own.

There were so many things that we really enjoyed at the lodge. First, the room was absolutely beautiful and the view is breathtaking. The quality of the materials used for the room were really outstanding and we were very comfortable whenever we were there. The AC on the rooms was around and there were fans as well. The wifi worked well consistently for us. Second, the food at the restaurant was delicious and we were not disappointed with any of the dishes that we tried. We are a family of four (1 adult, 3 kids ages 6, 7, and 13) so all different levels of pickiness when it comes to food and everybody left happy at the end of breakfast and dinner. The pool is lovely and there is a jacuzzi adjacent to it that we enjoyed a couple of times. We also visited the horses, miniature horses, and donkey that live on site. That was really fun for my younger children as they got to pet the animals. This is a family run lodge and each of the family members was extremely hospitable and really bent over backwards to make sure we had an amazing stay. I highly recommend La Finca Lodge, especially for families.
