A little far from downtown but such a good location for excursions and a wonderful view of the volcano.

The bartenders were great! Swim up bar is great and different hot springs were lovely.

Awesome property and the grounds. Lawns are well maintained and the view of Arenal is amazing. Having thermal pools is added bonus and they are very well maintained. Excellent breakfast and the staff.

Fridge could have been bigger as difficult to get anything bigger than a medium size bottle in. Given how big the room is a couple of chairs would have been handy and there was no table inside or out. Tour buses parked overnight in the car parking spaces was rather inconvenient - how about making them remain in the lower car parks by reception?

Thermal springs made this an exceptional place to stay, especially considering the price. After a day's activity it was fantastic to wallow in the ools for a few hours. So many and so varied. Loved it. Pretty cool having bar and seating in the middle of the pool, although expect to pay premium prices for the privilege. Room is very large and beds extremely comfortable. Free bus service around the site (you wouldn't want to be walking up the hill regularly - believe me). Buffet breakfast excellent with lots of choice. Very helpful staff. Site contains road to probably the best viewpoint of Mt Arenal that you will find. Great spot to have lunch. It's a couple of miles outside La Fortuna so no noise but within easy reach of the town and all nearby attractions. Obviously helps when you have your own transport as we did. Plenty of nearby restaurants too - can particularly recommend Que Rico Arenal restaurante, about a 2 minute drive away.

It was a nice, clean hotel. Location was super, staff is friendly. Diner was good. Really enjoyed our time here. My daughter loved the pool, especially with the slide. Slide is also great for adults! Hot springs are beautiful.

The lighting in the bathroom could have been better. Would have LOVED to have a full length mirror somewhere in the room - plenty of empty wall space to accommodate this. A magnifier make-up mirror would have also been helpful in the bathroom. Women are here on vacation and having a good makeup mirror and full length mirror would be much appreciated.

Breakfast was outstanding. Room was wonderful and in a great location relative to the resorts amenities. Loved the pools and hot spring areas. Staff was wonderful and housekeeping was fabulous.

Pools open at 10, but I get that some cleaning needs to be done. We took a bed earlier on our last day to work on our and no one complained about that. There are too little beds for the amount of people.

The property is massive and it's not feasible to walk from your room to the pool or restaurant-- you will likely need to drive or catch a ride on the free shuttle. It's not necessarily a knock on the place but something to be aware of. Dinner wasn't the best we had in Costa Rica, but it's fine for a large resort.

Amazing location at the foot of the Arenal volcano. Great pool and thermal baths. The food (and drinks!) at the pool bar were quite good. The breakfast was excellent and varied day to day. Great stargazing at night.

The property was excellent. The room was huge and had everything we needed. The property is huge and spread out which makes it nice and it’s super scenic with the volcano in the back ground as soon as you come out the patio door. The restaurant serves good food and the drinks were great. The have a good amount of options. The free breakfast was great with good options and they change it up daily. I would highly recommend this place since the it was fairly less expensive then most of the other properties and you have cool hot spring pools on site. The hot spring pool with the swim up bar plays excellent music while you eat or have drinks in the hot spring pool. I stayed at tabacon and Los Lagos has a more homey feel to it and the staff are friendly and helpful. There’s also a shuttle service that gets you around the property, all you have to do is call the front and the shuttle will pick you up at your room. Such a great place.
