Very sweet and helpful lady at the reception. She helped us to move to a quieter room when we asked to be moved. And she gave us some recommendations for breakfast and places to visit. The place is an excellent value for money.

Ladies obviously living in one room at the end of the toilet corridor get up at 4am and make a tremendous amount of noise while they spend the next 1.5 hours getting ready for their day. Screaming, laughing and shouting 2 ft outside the rooms. Everything about this place is great for the price, except these women, so expect to be woken at 4am!

No complaints for our room, but it looked like some of the other rooms only had windows to shared spaces inside the building (no window to outside) so might get stuffy or loud from other guests.

Only stayed one night, but it was just what we needed before our flight. Lots of rooms, but also lots of shared bathrooms/showers/sinks. Bed was comfortable, our room was quiet and had a window to the outside so we got fresh air. The woman who runs it, as everyone says, speaks no English but happily showed us our room and check-in/out was easy. Decent location, it's a short easy walk from one of the main bus terminals and downtown area. Strange place, but felt very safe and you can't beat the price!

Since we were walking from the Terminal of Buses MEPE we had to cross a neighborhood that where I wouldn't go during night night but before dark, it was ok.

First of all, the price. Finally something very affordable in Costa Rica! And for that price, it's all good. Clean, rather good location. Bed. Comfort.

Noisy neighbours which isn't hotels fault but no soundproofing. Area outside a bit rundown.

For the price you pay this is exceptional. The room was large, tv, fridge etc. Staff were helpful and friendly. Showers clean with hot water. Great area for site seeing and near all transport.

Very helpful staff - we were able to do a very late check in and leave our luggage after check out which made a big difference for us! Nice room with clean towels. Very central location, however we were warned by locals to noy go out at night.

We arrived from Quepos ,walked 1.6km from the bus station then in the morning we walked 1.3km to Tortuguero bus station . Not too far from several bus stations. Hot shower. Quiet at night. Helpful staff.

The bed was not very comfortable and the building in general would need a renovation. Also there were stains in the bed linen. Nothing else to say.

Super nice staff, very helpful and accommodating. Nice to have a big private bedroom for such a cheap price in the centre of San Jose. Also good hot showers and powerful wi-fi. Recommended for a short stay in SJ.
