Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe hotel has a different name - it is Blue Mirador now! some maintenance details could be improved (it's not a new hotel) It is very easy to clog pipes in the bathroom
Very nice staff (especially Mr. Jorge) and kitchen service Good breakfast Amazing view from our room and dining area! Connection with another hotel (free shuttle) where you can use pools and very good restaurant. Good access to closest beach (towels included!)

United StatesHot water broke in our room and we had to ask a few times for a solution, but the hotel did offer us an alternate rooms/shower, which was appreciated
Beautiful view and loved the wild life around the property. Roy provided a great breakfast service and makes the best mojito I have ever had. Jorge was an absolute pleasure…he remembered us, was so fun, helped with everything from food to golf card rides to an issue in our room. Such valuable team members.

United StatesThe hotel name is now the Blue Mirador, not Ocean Two Resort, which was very confusing when we were trying to find our hotel after a long drive. The facility seemed to be undergoing some renovations/updates and the restaurant was only available for breakfast - lunch/dinner served at the sister location next door (courtesy shuttle provided). Lastly, the pool bar was inconsistently staffed.
Overall, the hotel was clean, provided modern amenities, and the staff was great. Our room was large with a great ocean view and large garden area to enjoy the sunrise/sunset. The room was clean with modern TV/internet availability. Breakfast was included and was a great way to start the day before heading to the Manuel Antonio national park. Staff was very accommodating, allowing us to store our bags since we wouldn't be back from our tour before check out. In addition, they were happy to provide us a shuttle to/from the beach at their sister property.

United KingdomThere is building by work taking place across the road, lots of drilling. We decided to head to their sister hotel down the road to enjoy their pool instead, on the plus side, it’s a lot bigger and better for swimming
This hotel has got to have the best view in Manuel Antonio. It may well be one of my favourite views. We stayed in a standard room and that it was, it was pretty dated and they should worn you in advance about the stairs! On our first morning we had a little lay in and decided to go for breakfast at 8am, we were very disappointed. There was hardly any food left and the lady working there didn’t seem to want to help much. Our second morning we went earlier and all was okay. Majority of the staff were excellent. This really could be the best hotel in Manuel Anthony if they just tweaked a few things.

United KingdomBreakfast occasionally has to be taken at the Sana hotel, and is not as good. The service at breakfast and the maid service were somewhat hit and miss during our stay. There's no restaurant for evening meals: you can take the shuttle to the Sana, but I'd recommend taking a taxi to El Avion: the ever-helpful desk staff can arrange this at a few minutes notice. There is a new development being built opposite the hotel, and it is not clear to what extent this may obscure the view from some rooms when it is completed. If you're thinking of staying there I would suggest booking a top floor room. The attached photo was taken from the top floor.
The hotel is now called Blue Mirador and is run in conjunction with the nearby Sana hotel. There's a complementary shuttle between the two by golf buggy: from the Sana it's a walk of 200 metres via a woodland path to Biesanz beach. Blue Mirador is smaller then Sana and the pool & terrace areas consequently less crowded, and very pleasant, apart from the unnecessarily loud music played at the bar. The view from the terrace is great, and toucans, scarlet macaws and pelicans can be seen. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The desk staff are very helpful, and can advise on booking trips to Manuel Antonio national Park, which is very popular and may need to be booked a few days in advance. Breakfast is usually available on a very pleasant terrace, and is very good. Overall, as a destination, as opposed to just a base, this is one of the most pleasant hotels I've stayed in.

CanadaHotel changed back to its pre-covid name (Blue Mirador} on all signage so... first timers to Costa Rica will be 'challenged' by its location. A new hotel across the road facing the national park is being built, so the view is more natural facing north, but it didn't ruin my pura vida buzz one bit.
Location was fine, breakfast was good, staff was good, Jorge the valet is exceptional. The value for the area was above average. Hotel layout was 2000's marina style with a wicked patio above the pool.

United KingdomHotel changed name without booking.com letting us know (now called blue mirador) and was undergoing rennovations when we stayed which detracted from what was suppose to be a luxurious honeymoon stay. If we had known this we would have stayed elsewhere for same money.

Malta1. We found out the hotel changed it's name to 'Blue Mirador' as we arrived, purely out of luck because I entered the closest hotel to the google maps link. This is not okay. You should be informing your clients that the name on booking.com ''OceansTwo'' is NOT the current name. Let's not get into the reason WHY the name was changed, TWICE. That's also something we found out while staying there. 2. The hotel gives off a 5-star vibe, which was not expected, with great service, but then it lacked in some basics, for example the plugs were nowhere near the beds, some furniture in the room was damaged or old and our balcony door could not be locked - considering it was the closest room to the pool, this felt a little unsettling cos anyone could've entered our room from the balcony. 3. Construction outside the hotel - I'm sure this is not the fault of the hotel but make sure to bring ear plugs with you if you are staying in Manuel Antonio. Not just at this hotel, it gets quite noisy at night between crickets and other animals. 4. Something that really irritated me was the coffee in the room - it seems like in all of Costa Rica - free coffee in your room is NOT a thing, when we arrived to this place we found a coffee machine with pods - so we were very happy, as it's a common thing in Europe - only to spot a small card that said each pod was 2 dollars - it went from a pleasant surprise to an irritating reminder. 5. This has nothing to do with the hotel - Manuel Antonio is a bit of a tourist trap - everywhere you go people are overcharging you for things or trying to sell you something. Be careful with the IVA tax and the Service tax, a lot of places expect you to figure out that you have to add it on after.
Staff were friendly. Laundry service is available - 10 dollars per kilo is a bit expensive BUT it was returned to us literally within hours! The view is astonishing, and we received a free room upgrade. We had visitors to our balcony, a few iguanas, leaf cutter ants and capuchin monkeys! It was great to see, but don't leave any bags outside cos those monkeys like looking for food!! The breakfast was alright, good service. The pool was nice, and has a good pool bar. The beds were comfortable and the A/C was a life saver!

United StatesLimited parking and some steep hills.
Older hotel but large, nice clean and comfortable rooms with beautiful views. Great buffet breakfast with a good selection included. Nice pool with views. Great, helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is being managed by their sister hotel down the road, so you have use of their facilities as well. Hotel staff would shuttle you down and back to the other hotel for dinner or pool or beach use.

HungaryParking with a car is very difficult, the parking lot is small, always full, the road is steep, hardly reachable. The walls are paperthin, you'll hear everything clearly and loudly from outside and inside the hotel as well. There is only one parasol at the pool but many sunbeds on the direct sunlight, makes it difficult to have a rest there. The small tiles of the pool are coming off, laying on the bottom. There was an ongoing renovation in the hotel, the hall was painted during our time.
The hotel staff is super nice and helpful. They always happily answered for any question, helped in booking. Jorge is a really cool guy, always helpful, he even took us to Playa Biesanz with golf cart and came to us when we messaged on whatsapp. The hotel has an amazing view from the restaurant and the pool. We got a room update for our honeymoon with fantastic view to the ocean.

SwitzerlandThe facilities are ok, but not that high standards. lots of workmanship in the construction are done badly (which is very usual in Costa Rica). The terrace was not cleaned, it was very dusty. When coming up the stairs to the terrace, the roof is too low so I hit my head against it.
The hotel is located up on the hill with an amazing view over the beach. The staff were very professional, friendly, and helpful. We got an upgrade from Booking and stayed in a very spacious room with a huge terrace.
