see above, Driving may be dangerous at night. You have to have WAZE app as streets and highways are very poorly marked. very sore from the excursions. 3 hours of horseback riding (too long) and two hours of tubing which was not relaxing. The tubing here is very rocky with rapids. It is a workout and stressful .I an still sore two days later. Bring pain medicine ie tylenol or aspirin.

The hot springs were wonderful. room was nice but would prefer a bathtub to a shower, no tv in English. Netflix was available in English but nothing else. Excursions are harder than you think and cell phones can run out in three hours leaving you w/o your waze gps, and lost. It gets dark by 6pm here so head home early. , Also, waze app is essential if you have a car but it may take you across a mountain on an unpaved road which freaked me out, rocks potholes and crap in the road everywhere. If it says an hour to get somewhere double the time to get there. Also get gas When you see a place! Gas stations are not prevalent in the mountains. the locals are very sweet and helpful though. The post office is downtown behind the church. El Carrero to buy stamps for postcards,

The various hot spring pools were marvelous, especially at night. The breakfasts were very good and the restaurant is open for 3 meals plus you can get food from the bar inside pool! The rooms were clean and well appointed. Nice view of volcano.

You need a reservation to eat at the restaurant . Allot of people came in the evenings just to swim and eat, which made it much more crowded.

The beds were very stiff and some of the staff weren't the nicest. I also wish the springs were open longer, only from 11am to 9pm

The property was very beautiful and had a great view of the volcano. Lots of nice places to sit and relax and be in nature. It was only 5-10 minutes to downtown and the rooms were a good size.

The Hot Springs are also used for visitors / day guest so can sometimes get a bit crowded / noisy. The bar pool can get a but dirty as a result when busy.

We stayed here for our Honeymoon. The pictures don't do it justice. An amazing place with multiple hot spring pools. We were greeted with a beautiful honey moon treat when we arrived. We spent Happy hour up in the bar overlooking the volcano. Absolutely incredible place!

The food was not great & quite pricey for what you got as were the drinks.

The room was lovely with good facilities & the pools were great. Its a great location to see the volcano but only when there's no cloud, so we did not see the top our whole stay but obviously not the hotels fault !

The food was not bad but could have been better.

We had a room that had a view of an open field with grazing horses and cows and the volcano. We also had our own personal hot tub outside on the back patio. What a breath-taking experience. The bathroom was A+.

I wish the hotsprings stayed open later maybe 10 pm or 11 pm.

Location is perfect! Lunch buffet and dinner are excellent. Pillows are the best the hotsprings are really hot.

The temperature of the hot springs could be a bit hotter, they clean and refill them daily and the source of the water is very hot... it would be great if they kept a few of them a bit higher temp.

The multiple hot springs on property are a relaxing and wonderful way to end the day. The springs are not crowded, and the property is gorgeous. The coffee shop at the end of the property has nothing between it and the volcano but a field of horses, it's like a painting. The photos of the rooms and property do not do it justice. We cut our reservations short because the photos made it look like there were no windows or private patios, but the room was luxurious with a large window, and the way the front patios are structured, are very private. This property was outstanding, we tried 5 different hotels over the course of our stay in 3 locations of CR. This property was in our top two. We wished we would have had a longer stay!
