staff weren't very friendly/present. hair in the bathroom. air con didn't work in our room. more expensive than other, nicer options elsewhere. only hotel in costa rica that charged full price to our card before arrival - threatened to cancel reservation if not paid - which was fine but our internet was minimal before so we nearly missed this.

This hotel is advertised as being downtown, which is why we decided to stay here, but it's really not. The location is fine, but you are not downtown.

Staff was exceptional, so helpful. We had dinner at the hotel and it was beautifully plated and delicious. The hotel is very pretty inside and well maintained.

The disadvantage was that it was a little far from the city centre (about 20-25 minute-walk).

This hotel was used by the travel company that we had signed up with for exploring Costa Rica, so we had stayed at the beginning and the end of the trip. The rooms were fairly big with 2 double beds and they were clean. Staff were generally helpful. The breakfasts were mostly the same each day with Costa Rican food and lots of fresh fruit. The restaurant was available for lunch and dinner as well, and the food was good with fairly big portions.

Like the rest of San Jose, the traffic around the hotel is very busy and not amenable to visiting the local area on foot. However, it was much better location-wise compared to the more central areas of San Jose.

It was located next to the main park and art museum, and had excellent scenic views of the surrounding mountains. The restaurant was very good and the staff there were particularly helpful.

It was a little noisy in the hallway, and one night I was able to hear loud music coming from (I assume) down the street. While the bathroom was clean, the smell of one of the cleaning chemicals did not smell good.

If on premise restaurant is part of this hotel, the service was almost nonexistent! We went down for drinks and dinner, our drinks came quickly, but our appetizer took almost an hour. No one came to table to ask if we wanted more drinks or to take our diner order. Appetizer was just ok, they never asked if we wanted anything else, so we paid and left.

Hotel was very quiet and was located next to nice park, they had guarded free parking. The pillow and beds were very comfortable and check in and check out was easy and quick.

Breakfast options could be better, namely: more fruit options, cereals and cake slices or croissants. During my stay (2 breakfasts) I didn't see any cereals nor sweet options like cake or croissants.

Surrounded by car dealerships and major thoroughfares. long way from any sites or good restaurants with exception of Soda Tapia around the corner. No comfortable place to sit outside. For unknown reasons, in the middle of the driveway, they tried to make a cement patio that is uncomfortable with hard chairs surrounded on all sides by the driveway. Mediocre breakfast for price & staff not as pleasant

The reception staff is distracted and very slow. Although there were no other clients, we waited for 10 minutes while he spoke to his one of his colleagues at check-in instead of checking us in. Then we were told our rooms were not ready (at 2:30pm) and to come back in 30 minutes. When we got back, we got to wait for 10 minutes again for the receptionist to finish his discussion with another colleague before he handed us our keys... My room faced the street and the noise from people partying prevented me from sleeping.

The rooms are large comfortable and clean. The hotel is downtown with modern facilities and with many restaurants and shops nearby. Breakfast is decent.
