The kitchen was very well equipped and very clean. Containers provided enough storage for food as well and had a lid which I appreciated. Even a little airfryer was there. I asked to change into the female dorm after my first night and the staff replied very quick and prepared everything while I was on a tour. For that I was very glad. The common area was very well designed so it was easy to get in touch with other solo travellers. The tours were also lots of fun. And a plus for the hostel dog, who was so cute.

The staff isn't very helpfull. The girl was okey, but the guy looked annoyed to be there, just didn't bother giving information or recomendations in town even when asked. They don't accept card payment, and only let me know this one day prior the arrival, when it should be clear from the start. (Well, they actually sent a message 1 day before saying they accepted card payment with a 10% fee, but upon arrival the guy said firmly no card at all).

The place is quite clean and organized and there is a nice common area. The kitchen is very well equipped, and is always well kept. Good bed, the fan and the power outlets by the bed are nice, but the room does get very hot and stuffy, specially by the end of the day.

No lockers in the rooms, which is due to their smaller size. There are a few lockers in the common area though. Therefore, I would install a few more coat hooks on the walls in the dorms for more clothes hanging opportunities.

Staff at the hostel is extremely nice and helpful with all questions regarding trips and tours! Nice common areas including a yoga deck where you can work out during the day and a big kitchen.

I didn't realize they have a section for smoking, this is my fault, but I didn't like that I would get 2nd hand smoke by being in my room since the windows are always open I found out the hard way that there was no hot water.

It's central to La Fortuna so restaurants & stores are walking distance. The hostel also gives you info for the bus on how to get there from San Jose Airport which is awesome & they can also set you up w/ tours and if you pay cash it's cheaper than getting it through Viator, and they pick up at the hostel. There's no AC in the dorms, but there is a mini fan above you that kept me cool during the night time.

Beautiful hostel tucked away in a tranquil corner of La Fortuna. Rooms were clean and comfortable and a lovely courtyard at the back of the property. Staff were so helpful and friendly - especially the two volunteers Marissa & Maria. They were on hand with anything we needed. Would highly recommend!

There wasn’t a huge social vibe in the common areas when I was there, I don’t think it was the hostels fault maybe just luck of who was there at the same time as me. The common areas were still nice and welcoming

The private rooms were a very reasonable price, clean with good AC, easy to book activities through the hostel. The owner of the hostel is friendly and helpful with anything you may need

The luggage lockers are small so it’s hard to store things in there, and I wish there were luggage lockers inside each bedroom instead of the kitchen area. Most people seemed to put their bigger luggage in a corner in the room

The staff was super friendly, the location was very close to the downtown area, it was clean, they offered lots of different tours, and I like that the beds all had outlets and curtains!

It was my first hostel in Costa Rica and I hope to find more places like this on my trip! Very nice reception, very nice common areas, lots of bathrooms and showers to use (which are new). When I arrived they explained me a map of the city and helped me to organize my activities to make the best use of my time. My favorites were the yoga area and the hostel pet!

There is no breakfast and if it did it would've been great to eat before the tours. Hopefully you can improve that. I had a private room and a shared bathroom with 3 other rooms which is too many people to wait on a line for shower or bathroom. The water in one of the bathrooms was cold.

There is good coffee at 7.30 am for free and the private rooms have AC which in this town is a must! The location is quite near the center and convenient for walks. The town is safe and has good restaurants and bars. I would recommend the Don Juan coffee/ cocoa tour! The bed is comfy and the common spaces and kitchen create a feel of community and you can socialize easily.

A lot of kitchen noise early in the morning - very loud beeping from the toaster! TP ran out a few times in the shared bathrooms which is annoying

Quiet location (no road/outside noise) but very close to town. Good AC (double room), good shower pressure & well equipped & organised kitchen. Recently added yoga deck is really nice. I would stay again

The double bedroom had no window, so it was a bit stuffy inside.

The staff was really friendly and helpful! We had a really good time at the hostel. The kitchen was also clean and we cooked a lot of times. It was really cozy to chill at the hostel and it was good located :) we can definitely recommend to stay there!

This wasn't any fault of the property as it was most likely another guest. I put my name on my food in the fridge as told so no one would eat it. When I went into the fridge the next morning, someone stole my food :(

The bed was comfortable and the hostel was quiet by night time so I could sleep. The person who cleans the place does and excellent job. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I felt very relaxed there. I was happy to know there was an option for a female only room. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Next door you can get breakfast with the other hotel.

There were way too few bathrooms and showers for the amount of guests. Also the conditions of those were of course not the best.
