The door lock, the lock on room 11 was very annoying! Mainly closing the door, would recommend fixing that. Bit of a walk into town, but personally didn't find it an issue. Good path to walk in.

The view, incredible to lie in bed and look out at the stunning views. The room was spacious, and the shower was great. Had everything you need and bliss lying in bed looking out.

We booked the lodge for the views and we weren't disappointed. Our lodge faced out into the valley, and we were treated to a daily display by the vultures and kites that flew around us. We also had a regular evening visit from an Agouti. We could just make out some buildings in the distance but, other than that, it was all forest and sky! The accommodation was clean and room had everything we needed. The staff were really helpful and gave us a load of info on available trips and restaurant recommendations. Very comfortable bed and great hanging chairs to chill and enjoy the scenery from.

The view from the room is just breathtaking. The conservatory style room is so peaceful. The rooms are really big and offer great cooking facilities. Really lovely place. It was walking distance to the centre but not as central as other places, however the more centrally located places didn’t look half as nice as Rainbow Valley Lodge.

The room was a little bit dated but had everything we needed. No aircon but they had a fan which did the job as Monteverde isn't too hot

The location was good. Short 10 minute walk to the main town and great view over the valley The lodge had a few rooms and the staff were on hand to support where needed and to give tips on the area 3 lovely dogs and a cat on site which were really friendly I had left my headphones at the lodge and the staff were extremely helpful in getting them back to me. They went above and beyond to get them back to me which was really appreciated. Special shout out to Kenneth who was very helpful in this

There was no breakfast and whilst the walk into town was short, it was a chore if we needed to grab something as there wasn’t much else around.

The views were second to none and the rooms were clean and spacious. Front desk super helpful in organising everything for us.

The two nights we stayed in Monteverde were extra windy so it was a bit difficult getting a good night’s sleep

The panoramic view of the rain forest from our room was amazing as well as the double rainbow after the rain, hence the rainbow valley lodge.

Very nice place with great views and a perfect distance from town - about a 15 minute walk so we could leave the car in the evenings going in for dinner.

Spacious room with lovely view from the terrace. Kitchen well equiped. Good location close to the very busy Santa Elena Center. Staff was very helpfull in arranging multiple tours for us.

The lodge is perfectly located and has a wonderful view. The rooms are very spacious and tidy. And Marvin was so helpful with organizing anything we needed for our stay or our tours. Would definitely recommend staying there!

Honestly, I don't have any complaints. The infrastructure cannot support typical American expectations of consistent water pressure and temperature. Same for the sanitation systems. It's just a little different and sometimes those differences are great to encounter.

The view was amazing, that overlook is unmatched. I'm really glad we were able to find a spot just a little outside the city. It was much quieter and the people were very friendly. I enjoyed the three dogs on the property. They each came to greet us after checking in. There was even a neighborhood cat that welcomed itself into our room for a couple nights (orange tabby). He's very friendly and loved staying the night.

We liked everything.

The cabin we stayed in was comfortable, quiet and private, nestled among the trees with a large covered porch and fantastic views. We enjoyed our time on the porch almost as much as our time in the reserves. The hotel also arranged a fantastic tour for us. Highly recommend taking advantage of their services. You can also walk to a grocery store or to town via sidewalks.

It’s not about the property, the strong winds do blow hard in the area and you will hear things squeak/clang a bit outside at night. They do tell you to bring ear plugs in case you’re a light sleeper, so you should 🙂

Amazing view, spacious and comfortable room, well located even by foot, everything was easy, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I did see a rainbow in the valley while I was there.

Lack of air conditioning or fans was a negative. It was ok at night but stifling hot during the morning and afternoon. We couldn’t enjoy the house during those times. But that being said one does not spend much time indoors with all the activities Monteverde has to offer.

The view from our floor to ceiling windows was spectacular and the location and close proximity to a charming little village was great! We drove in to town and enjoyed the many restaurants and stores.

Much bigger than we thought or needed and lacking in style; a big and brutal space that needs a bit of softening.

Fantastic views over the cloud forest; clearly designed more for bad weather as more was inside than out (and we had very good weather). Well equipped kitchen. Very helpful reception staff - booked us on to a night walk and the Selvatura gold package. Easy 15 minute walk into Santa Elena and lots of bars and restaurants

Comfortable and big room. Had everything we needed (kitchen, bathroom etc). And the view was amazing! Location is practical and close to everything. Also the staff was really helpful. Definitely recommend this place for your stay in Monteverde!
