The wifi did not work for a short period of time. But the host organised a replacement router.

Excellent and unexpected (not stated on Booking.com) complimentary breakfast with a delicious selection of fresh fruit. Very nice and helpful hosts, take care of every request and give excellent recommendations.

The place was amazing for one night and very close to the Rio Celeste which was beautiful. The host was very nice and we felt so welcome! The host actually helped us spot a Toucan! Would definitly recommend this place!

Lovely place and very welcoming hosts. Breakfast is huge. Good recommendations about what to do in the neighbourhood (do the night tour with frogs paradise, it was amazing!!). Really close to Tenorio national park (they can organize a taxi for you).

It’s a little far out of town, like a 15 minute walk along the main road.

I had such a fantastic experience here, the owners Dinora and Wilfred went above and beyond to welcome and help me during my stay. The place was absolutely spotless with beautiful gardens and the breakfast there is amazing as well. I highly recommend staying here if you are coming to the region, there’s plenty to do in the area including rio Celeste, tapir valley and other private reserves.

As a single traveller I loved staying here . The family create a lovely atmosphere, very relaxed and friendly. Great place to meet other travellers and a nice verandah to sit and chat as well as have a delicious breakfast . The family are really helpful in providing information on local activities and buses . My room was very comfortable and secure .

There could have been more hammocks to relax and the beds are ok but not very comfy.

One of the most friendly hostel stuff we've ever met. They helped us organizing our trips and gave some more advices what to do around Bijagua. Furthemore, they prepared us a very large and delicious breakfast every morning. There was lots of space in the dorm room to store our luggage. The kitchen was well-equipped.

All was good!

Super sweet couple that invites you in the guest area of their own house. It is a tranquil place with 2 people taking super good care, making you comfortable and helping you with anything you like to ask but with a relaxt, leaving you to do your thing vibe. The breakfast that is included is the best! Was sad to leave, it is such a nice rural region of Costa Rica, with Rio Celeste entrance within 20 mins drive. Recommended! Night tour was nice and interesting as well!

Bit out of town centre and no signage. Walked around for a while trying to find it. Bit pricier than other comparable hostels.

Beautiful property surrounded by lovely gardens. Substantial and tasty breakfast served on verandah watching the squirrels and birds in the trees. Clean, comfortable dorm. Nice bathroom. Friendly, helpful hosts.

The hostel is a little bit off the centre of Bijagua. This is not a problem as such, it's just not so good to walk there because the street doesn't have any sidewalks.

The hostel is in a very quiet place and the hosts were very friendly. They even prepared breakfast for me. Everything was clean and I had the dorm for myself since I was the only guest on this day. There's also a huge garden.

This is such a beautiful property that this married couple has created! It felt like a little piece of paradise in the middle of this town. Staying here was perfect after hiking the Rio Celeste waterfall in Volcan Tenorio National Park. We shared a room with a few other women from Europe and the rooms were comfortable and clean with good air circulation! They offered breakfast and coffee in the morning and I was able to relax with all the birds, their cat, and the husband told me about all the trees and plants that they had growing around their oasis. They had a great area out on the patio with tables and chairs that you can relax and hangout, work, socialize, eat, drink, whatever. Very friendly hospitality and I would absolutely recommend anyone to stay here!

The location of the place is wrong on Apple/Google maps, which is why I walked past it (twice) while searching for it. The place just needs a sign on the road and it would help so much.

Lovely family home, who were friendly and helpful. I was picked up from the bus station on motorbike when I got lost trying to find the house. They had recommendations on places to visit/eat and helped me organise a tour. Spacious bedrooms and decent fans.

Dinorah & Wilfredo were so welcoming and we loved our stay here. Breakfast was included which was a nice surprise and in the garden we saw a Toucan and hummingbirds. The house and wider town are quiet and completely immersed in nature and it was an amazing experience. Would definitely recommend!

Dinora and her family are wonderful people. My stay in Bajagua turned out to be one of those huge, unexpected highlights of the journey. It exceeded my expectations and I even decided to stay extra day and night, because I felt really relaxed and chilled, like at second home thanks to my hosts care. Nature in the biocoridor between Miravalles and Tenorio is so beautiful, fresh and wild and I am not speaking only about NP Río Celeste. Acommodation was perfectly clean. Well equiped kitchen and nice bathroom with hot shower, which was neat after hiking in Tenorio park or after the night tour in the forest. Hosts can help you arrange taxi to the Río Celeste park and plan a night tour to see tapirs, frogs, perezosos and more. They are well informed about schedules of all buses to Cañas, Libreria and to Upala. Brekfeast is amazing and you can take it on the spacious terrace with garden view and get pretty close to wildlife already there, watching birds of all colors and sizes and squirels, while drinking your coffee. I stayed in dorm, the beds are super comfy and there is enough light and fresh air and plenty of outlets.

The kids speak great English but they do not so if you don't speak any Spanish it's worth letting them know / being prepared to use Google Translate when you're there!

The location is great and the family that runs the place are lovely and very helpful. They were easy to communicate with before I arrived.
