Takes about 15 minutes to walk there from the main bus station on a road with zero shade.

Absolutely great place with amazing staff, well-stocked kitchen, good wi-fi, and comfortable (if a little too cold) dorms. It has a direct river access and several common areas (although, sadly, the only spot with poor wi-fi happens to be the assigned co-work space).

Maybe the construction noise on the street, the bathroom and the animals but I guess it won't bother you that much as everything is very positive there.

The bridge over the stream is still under construction and so during daytime it can get noisy and dusty. The dorm bathroom has a strong mildew odour that requires the door to be closed at all time.

Lots of hanging out space in the open and under cover. Love the coworking space above the gym area! It would be great to add a portable fan since it can get too hot to work there in late morning or afternoon in April heat and humidity. This is one of the few places that have backpack sized lockers in the entrance hallway. Quiet place in night and early mornings so you can hear the stream and the birds. I did extended my stay for total 6 days here.

One of my favourite hostels in Costa Rica! Chill vibe, very clean, beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was one of the most well equipped I've seen in a hostel, and the staff is very friendly! It's a 10ish minute walk to the town center but I enjoyed the walk, you may even get a little concert along the way hahha

AC should be lower when the room is full. Too hot to set at 25C.

It was great! No complaints at all!

I absolutely loved this hostel! It was super spacious with lots of nice hangouts and a beautiful view of the river. It had a chilled but friendly vibe so it was easy to meet other travellers but nice and quiet when you want to sleep. The kitchen was really clean and well equipped - there were plenty of hobs so even at busy times you don't have to wait to cook. I loved having the gym for morning workouts too!

The bridge to the hostel was under construction so we could not drive to the front of the building - this was an issue for a bus driver who got mad about having to drive around. And we had to cross the river on cement blocks since there was no other crossing into town. Hopefully their pedestrian walking bridge is built soon. They didn’t provide towels, our room was very hot with minimal air flow even with fan. The staff are volunteers with higher turnover so we didn’t get much local info from anyone. Compared to other hostels where you can ask questions about town and for advice.

We enjoyed our stay here, the hostel was nice and social. The beds were comfortable enough and the kitchen was well-equipped. Liked the hammocks and common spaces. The property pets (dog and two kittens) were very cute. The cost is great for the area. Everyone is nice.

There is some construction going on outside - the road is getting a new bridge so could be a little noisy at times but nothing crazy.

Super chill hostel, friendly staff and guests. Comfy beds and curtains were a bonus. Loved the hammocks and the kitchen was well stocked.

Liked the location. Staff are fabulous, very helpful, polite and friendly. Kitchen area good with enough cooking utensils and stoves. Large common area to sit and eat. Great place to stay.

The wifi could be a bit more stable...

Really great is a hostel-Whatsapp group that you join by scanning the QR code at the reception. It enable to post plans and ideas to go out, and then share Uber cost for instance to the parks or to anywhere. Really good idea. Very much appreciated also, the individual curtains on bunk bed. Really nice for added comfort and privacy.

Alex and the other owners have created a fabulous space here! Lots of “hanging out” spots like creek side hammocks, tables. Community kitchen was a plus. Staff was fantastic! And the dog and cats were lovely to have around too. Highly recommend this quieter hostel!

The room is very stuffy. One lady is allergic to cat, so she always shuts the door. No furniture in the room at all. 2 girls had their suitcase open on the floor. I had to walk around them. The room doesn't smell nice, maybe due to dirty clothes of others. 3 showers, only one has a hook to hang anything. 3 toilets, but only 1 sink. The night clerk doesn't know much. The morning guy is well informed. They are both nice. A little too far from the center. About 1km walk.

Fairly clean kitchen. Free coffee + tea. Good wifi. Ping-pong table. Communal area. Only 4 persons in a room. Has big locker outside in the hallway, but you need to bring your own lock. They rent towels. There's laundry service. They also can book transfer for you. Nice employees.

The parking lot was taken by a group of workers with big trucks, rental cars were stuck in between, maybe that could have been avoided with a little more organisation. Other than that, nothing to say!

There were a lot of locals coming in during the evening. We guessed that some of them were renting rooms, but as a girl I was feeling a little uncomfortable when passing near them. I'm sure they wouldn't hurt anyone though. Also there wasn't a hotel restaurant, only a kitchen. But lots of restaurants around.

It was a very nice spot near the city center. There's also a very nice river passing next to it where you can't swim but cools the air a bit. The animals are very cute too.

One of the shared showers was great - roomy, hooks, basin. Others cramped, no hooks. Just shower head.

Location. Right on bend of small river. Gorgeous co-working space set right above it. Fringe of town so bit quieter but only 5-10 min walk to centre. Resident dog, Nala a hit too 😁
