The rooms are really tiny. I think the smallest hostel room I have ever been to. Almost no space to store any luggage, but still.it was OK, and it kind of worked. :)

Lovely hostel central in La Fortuna. Enjoyed the stay. It was clean, I met wonderful people, the kitchen for everyone was nice and they had some activities for free.

You can’t eat food you’ve cooked at the tables in the bar area which is a bit frustrating as the single (if large) table in the kitchen gets very busy.

Two pillows!! Amazingly friendly & helpful staff at reception (bar not so friendly). Great vibe & easy to meet people. Nice pool. Good size room with OK space even when full. Bar closes at 22:00 which manages the noise if you’re trying to sleep. Good location in town. Supermarket very close. Free afternoon yoga with Wolf was great! welcome drink also aided in meeting people.

The rooms were clean and stylish, set up for comfort (we had a private room with bathroom), the area was right in town easy to walk to shops and restaurants. The overall vibe was chill, everyone was friendly. The food was good and convenient. We even had the pleasure to watch a sloth in the trees off the back patio above the river which was really cool. Nice to have the pool for down time.

the hostel was not in the best location, there were times the area felt a little unsafe. However the hostel it’s self was a safe haven. the teepee was comfortable however was very small, and did not have space to dry wet clothes which would be useful in La fortuna given the heavy rains.

stayed in deluxe room for one night and the teepee for 2 nights. the deluxe room was very comfortable and clean. the teepee had a comfortable bed and a good bug net.

We were there on Easter weekend (Holy week here) and it was busy. Selina allow people to come and use the pool for free, which is great but it ended up turning it into a bit of a crèche. So many people came all weekend with their children, it really lost the hostel vibe. They also brought in their own food and drinks, even though we are told we couldn't. Think they need to review their policies! The food and drink is quite expensive for a hostel we thought!

This is a great Selina, with a relaxed and fun atmosphere. The pool and restaurant/bar were lovely to sit around and relax at. The place was clean and it was in a great location for the main town and also to get to Arenal volcano etc. They also have parking which was a plus! There was a fridge in the room which was a plus!

The Teepee tents are small. It’s fine for one person but would be hot and small for 2.

Great location. Really lovely tram of staff who were helpful and available for any requests. The pool is great and needed for the hot day trips. It has a nice restaurant and bar area. The shared bathrooms and showers felt very clean.

The cleanliness overall could improve, especially in the common areas (the hammocks really stink). Room 403 was too small for the price we paid. There are not enough parking spaces for everyone.

The facilites are very good, nice vibe. They are not very clean though. The food in the pool bar is good, a bit too greasy. The room was okay. Receptionists could not answer any of our questions, but at least we didn't have to wait to get our room since they were very organized. Location is very good.

It was quite noisy in the mornings with the traffic and unfortunately our room was next to the bins and the staff emptied lots of bottles early each morning.

Social, felt very safe, lots of activities, our private room was cleaned every day which was a bonus, good food and a nice pool.

Shower drain got clogged which flooded bathroom, also wish they had more hooks to dry out clothing and curtains for the dorm beds.

Very convenient location, extensive concierge service that can help you book any tours/shuttles/activities you want, beautiful dining area facing a river, delicious breakfast, great way to meet other solo travelers here!

The place is great but it feel sterile. Bunch of people staring vacantly into their phones all day long.

The room was comfy but unpractical. Literally nowhere to any clothes and a giant TV we didn’t need as the place as a cinema and everyone has tech.

For one of the more expensive hostels in the area, I would've expected at least a curtain at every bed and good bed linens and towels.

Nice hostel with a restaurant + bar, pool, co-working space, workout area and more that normally hostels don't offer. Makes it very easy to meet other travellers. Located close to the center of La Fortuna, where you find everything you need.

The matresses are a little springy.

Location is great and it would be a 9 rating had I stayed in my second room the entire time. The first night I was in a dorm with metal bunkbeds that felt dark, musty and crammed. After asking for a different dorm my experience changed 100% for the good. Nicely equipted sturdy private bunks. All the food I had there was more than excellent. Nice pool enviroment. Friendly staff.

1. The storage lockers above the bed were in a weird place and I kept hitting my leg 2. I had cobwebs in the corner of my bed (which I cleaned) 3. The beds weren't super comfortable (6.5/10)

the room was super loud also they don't have bathroom inside the room so its just 2 bathrooms and 1 toilet for few rooms.... which is outside... not good at all

Rooms were much smaller than any other Selina I have stayed in. Toilets/washrooms were not very clean.
