Although we have individual lights for each bed, I would have liked a stronger light for the whole room on the ceiling. The location is good as it was less than 10min from my bus station, but I found it a bit sketchy.

The place is really nice overall and the people are very nice. I could enjoy the pool/restaurant even before the check-in (which is at 2:30/3pm) as I arrived a bit early. I stayed in the hostel part, and I have never been in such comfy hostel. 4 beds per room, that were almost fully private thanks to the wood panels (see photos). They also have individual bed lights and plugs for each bed, which is always lacking in hostel. And I found the bed was very comfortable!

Breakfast was from 8am -10am. We missed it because we had business to do. No time stated in booking description. Paid extra for it and didn't get to use the service.

Pool was nice and the inside was nice. The outside left much to be desired. Our driver told us not to go out after dark. Not a good part of town. Was close to stores, restraunts and bus station.

No sign of food in the restaurant. The area is not great. I wouldn't want to walk around at night but fine for getting to the bus station as its so close.

- the area around is honestly very bad (many junkies, hangarounds and beggers outside - no place to walk alone at night, also as man) - private bathroom is a cool thing in dorms, but it could not be locked

The area is rough and it is difficult to get out for meals, etc, and hotel meals are a bit expensive. One Uber driver had trouble finding it.

Staff were helpful, hotel was basic but reasonable. The pool area has a nice atmosphere.

The hotel is a restored building and the walls do not have the noise isolation as modern buildings. Nevertheless nothing bothering with earplugs.

Liz (the hotel manager) was very helpful and welcoming. We had dinner after the restaurant closed around 8:15. In reception they informed we could request uber eat. The delivery worked perfect and Liz helped us to refrigerate and then warm up the left overs for next day. Hotel has a perfect location in San José, only 5-7min walking to the central market. The parking is also a nice asset.

The bed was not comfortable enough. The hotel location is in a dangerous area if you dont have a car. If you do, you can park it there. Getting in an out on the área by car is safe

Yes, there are safety elements for the neighbourhood at night time. However I was able to walk half a block to the 7–10 bus station in San Jose and able to get to touristy area during the evening the night before.

Facilities were decently clean, space felt open and bright in the lobby. Bed was comfortable to sleep on in the women’s dorm area.

They charge 10$ for using a towel and give it back!!! that is the craziest thing I’ve seen in my Costa Rica hostels experience. One should give a deposit only or be charged no more than 2$ for using a towel… Also no possibility to cook. One can store things in the restaurant fridge but the kitchen is only for their restaurant use.

The place is extremely clean, from the common area to the rooms. Rooms don’t have too many people in them (I was in a dorm for 4 people) because they used to be hotel rooms I believe. And there is privacy as the bunk beds are separated by a wooden wall. Also really spacious and nice bathroom. The restaurant serves really good food

This is a great hotel but in a dodgy area. Def wouldn't walk out at night from there but daytime is ok, just need to be aware. Ubers are cheap tho so that's how we managed. Would happily stay there again because it's great and great value.

We paid extra for breakfast in advance (it's cheaper that way), and I confirmed that they had food I could eat (I have allergies), however in the morning they only had 2 items available, and I couldn't eat either. The pool was only open until 8 pm, and in the hostel section they charge you $10 USD for a towel and TOILET PAPER. : \

Online it says shuttle service which is misleading, they do not have a shuttle. They book cars for guests. They could not accomidate transportation for my group of 14

The hotel location is just next to the police but this area is surrounded by sewage smell and street people. But it is closed to my bus terminal. It is good for bus transfer over night but no good for longer San Jose trip

Very dodgy area, please specify to every guest the situation outside during the night. I found myself in a not very pleasant situation. No soap in the bathroom even to wash the hands
