My stay was in the Carlos Tapia room, a unique, whimsical, beautiful art-filled room. Early checkin was accommodated. The staff were kind, helping me arrange a ride back to airport and setting up coffee extra early in the lobby.

We ordered ommelets which took ages to come and quite frankly they were inedible. We complained about them as we didn't eat them but still got charged. Will eat out next time. This let the rest of the hotel down.

The breakfast was not up to standard. Pool was refreshing.

Staff were friendly, very polite and professional, location was good and it want. I don’t think it is worth the price you pay, e.g is not a matter of paying one dollar but the fact that you have a coffee machine that you have to go down in the reception ask for a capsule etc… unnecessary die the price you pay, it should be provided.

My one and only dislike is the food! It’s one of the worst places I’ve eaten in Costa Rica which is at complete odds with how lovely the rest of this hotel is! Please get a better chef!

This is one of my favourite places to stay in the San Jose area and I absolutely love Santa Ana. Perfect boutique hotel with lovely comfortable rooms.

More breakfast options for a vegan

Beautiful hotel with comfortable and clean facilities. Staff were very friendly, especially the parking staff. As a vegan there could have been a few more options for breakfast but it was sufficient.

Hotel was small in size but had so much flair in style. The complementary breakfast had a good variety to choose from. There was a private parking garage. We walked to the Italian restaurant which had amazing food and even found a local sports bar across the street to appease the men we were traveling with. It was close enough to the airport, without being in San Jose itself.

Beautiful artwork throughout the hotel. It’s very very unusual and quirky. Rooms are comfortable and breakfast was very good.

During the checkout process, the staff didn't remove the credit voucher. It took a couple of days of following up until it was canceled. I even asked to make sure it was canceled, but it wasn't. Maybe pay more attention to this detail.

Loved all the artwork in the hotel, perfect combination with the Costa Rica feeling, very green, the tree at the entrance, the views, and the European coziness.

Beautiful property and entrance to property has a security guard. Bellhop was at our car right after we pulled into a parking space. Friendly staff behind the counter. Rooms were large, comfortable and clean.

This is our go to place in San Jose. Easy access to the airport and the freeway to the West coast, as well as shopping, food and the Bank of Costa Rica across the street for easy ATM access. The service is always excellent, and we love the decor. We stayed in the Butterfly room this trip, something we have tried to do in the past and found it was well worth the wait.This is an exceptionally well run establishment.

It was perfect and fabulously clean. Bedding a little dated and of course we would all love 100% cotton sheets but I still slept really well.

Beautiful art everywhere I spent most of the morning exploring. The pool is great too. You would never know you were in a big city. All the staff were super helpful and pleasant. They even called my driver to let me know I’d left something behind. Over and beyond. Wonderful.

The bathroom door in my room opened to the inside and it really took up space inside. Kind of a poor design.

I have stayed at Studio Hotel Boutique before and have encouraged others to stay there. I enjoyed every aspect and will stay there again.
