Clean, comfortable, and spacious apartments. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is excellent. The location is good for exploring town and also for excursions as most of the tour operators pick up from the hotel.

Please change the towels, they were full of lint. Preferably 2 kitchen towels and a kitchen roll in the kitchen. We cooked most days and needed these. Preferably a small paper waste basket in the sleeping rooms and if possible a small blocnote with pencil. Every two days sweep the floors.

The cozyness of the Superior Suit, the breakfast and the friendly staff. We also liked the neighbourhood in which the hotel is situated. It is very quiet, tranquil with little traffic.

This hotel was a great place to stay after a long flight and before our "adventure" started. The breakfast included cold and hot made to order dishes, which pleased everyone in my family. The pool was a lovely break from the heat and clean. Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel was close enough to walk to the park and Central Market. It was a great stopping over spot for us.

The only thing we didn't particularly appreciate was the difficulty in finding the place! Even when we were 'guided' there by a local from the car hire company who lived nearby, he still had to get out and ask people in the street where it was. It would be useful to give more specific directions on the booking.com page.

Suites Cristina offers very spacious and comfortable apartments. The staff were all very helpful and we felt relaxed there. A tasty breakfast was served next to the pool and offered many different options, hot and cold. Surprisingly, it turned out to be the only place we stayed (out of seven) on our Costa Rica holiday which provided a full breakfast buffet selection. We also ate dinner in the restaurant one evening (a good quality place open to the public as well) and this turned out to be a very good meal at a reasonable price. Overall a very pleasant experience.

We had a nice sized two bedroom two bath suite that was great in size, comfort and value. The staff here was beyond great, very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, made to order eggs and omletts and other tasty treats. One could stay here for weeks or longer in how it was equipped, good sized kitchen and living spaces.

The booking.com description of the Superior Suite says there’s a washer/dryer in the room. Actually the washer / dryers are in a separate laundry room. Half the washers are broken, and the tokens are very expensive - $12 for one load DIY. That was the only downside.

We’ve been to Suites Cristina 3 times in the past 8 years. The large 2bdrm/2 bath apartments are excellent, as is the free breakfast and staff. All our needs are attended to.

We highly recommend Suites Cristina for anyone needing a hotel in San Jose CR. We’ve been there several times in the last 8 years and it’s always our favorite. All rooms are apartment style, the free breakfast is made to order, the pool is lovely and quiet, the Italian restaurant L’Olio is wonderful. The staff rented us a car that was delivered. There are self serve washers and dryers and a large exercise room.

Wonderfully respectful and professional staff. In decades of travel, we have never had a better breakfast. The location near the park was ideal for us. Parking was convenient and safe.

Key card system hard to operate at first. One you realised you had to be quick on the draw once the green light flashed ( and I mean quick)! Then we didn't have any real issues.

Room cleaned each day unless you requested otherwise. Suites were spacious with own fridge and microwave. Pool was clean and breakfast was taken in the pool area. Costa Rican options were available if wanted. 5 mins walk from Sabana Park and 10 mins from National Stadium.

We have no complaints! We are extra glad that we booked the same place for our return to San Jose at the end of our Costa Rica trip!

The breakfast was superb! The rooms were lovely and well-lit. We enjoyed seeing some leafcutter ants on the street outside, but saw no unwanted bug visitors inside our rooms!
