We loved the walkable location to beach and restaurants. The pool and surrounding courtyard with outdoor seating, was very nice in the hot afternoons. Breakfast was delicious each morning. Would definitely stay again! Juan and Karla were so sweet and accommodating. We found Mew-Mew the resident cat a delight!

Access on the road was not very inviting but understand the town is doing repairs. The Sat night was a rough night with the sounds of base pounding from the clubs as many visitors had mentioned. Fortunately that was only on Sat of our stay. We did have to switch rooms due to an infestation of bugs but they were accommodating. Would like to see a few bikes available to borrow, even for a few hours. Makes for a great option vs walking in the heat and to explore local neighborhoods. Maybe also switching up the breakfasts from scrambled eggs and same smoothie everyday.

The serenity of the pool area and covered terrace were a delight to come to after a day at the beach. Proximity to restaurants was a bonus.

The wifi connection was pretty spotty. There were 4 or 5 different networks to bounce between and I'd get kicked off wifi quite frequently. It wasn't a huge deal for me but could be for someone who needs to work from the hotel.

We loved SO much about this property! First of all, the rooms exceeded our expectations. The room (we were in #3, ground level) was perfect for our family of 5. The sofa bed in the living room converted to a bed so that was perfect. It was so nice to have a little kitchen to be able to save some money and make a few meals at "home", too. We LOVED the daily breakfast -- definitely worth it to add the daily breakfast. Laura the chef was so sweet, and would go out of her way to make a separate dish for the kids if requested. We had chocolate chip and banana pancakes, eggs and sausages, eggs on a crispy tortilla with tomatoes and guacamole, the most AMAZING French toast....just to name a few. Plus the most delicious fruit smoothie each morning. Breakfast ran from 7-9 I believe, and was a highlight for us. The pool and little sand area was perfect. My kids almost never wanted to leave the property! We appreciated that there were so many other families around. The beach isn't far - maybe a 4 minute walk - and Ten North has beach chairs and a boogie board you can borrow. We also saw monkeys during our stay -- I forget the name of the lady at the front desk but she would go out of her way to point things out to us or let us know about things going on (like the nightly fire shows on the beach). All in all a FANTASTIC stay. It is not a fancy spot but it suited our needs 100% and was great for our family.

I spent 8 nights here with my family. It was a wonderful stay. It's close to all the best restaurants in Tamarindo, and also 2 blocks from the beach. The breakfast that was provided each morning was wonderful and they even made meals for my two kids and my wife who is vegan. The staff is wonderful. Also, if you're staying on Saturday, there is a farmer's market next door in the morning that has a lot of great local vendors. The hotel also helped arrange us a transfer from the Liberia Airport (thanks Karol!), and also helped arrange a tour.

The amount of noise that enters the hotel. There’s a skate park right beside the hotel, and you can hear people skate boarding and playing basketball all night and I mean all night until 3am. There’s also a bar right beside the skate park that also plays music with a lot of bass until 3 am that you can hear and feel when trying to sleep. They did provide the room with white noise and have ear plugs at the front desk, but don’t expect to get a good nights sleep.

We stayed at Ten North from March 30 - April 5. We had such a wonderful experience. Our check in was super easy and Carol made us feel welcomed and relaxed. Within minutes of check in we cooled off in the pool and then headed out to explore Tamarindo. It takes five minutes to get to the beach We were a group of six with 3 rooms right alongside the pool. Each morning we had a delicious breakfast prepared by Laura. We stayed six nights and each morning we had a different breakfast. This is a smaller hotel which we really enjoyed. It’s next to a skate park and very near where they hold a farmers market on Saturdays. You can relax during the midday sun and cool off in the pool. There are plenty of restaurants within a few minutes walk from the hotel. Carol told us of a nice grocery store nearby where we could pick up ready made salads, sandwiches and rotisserie chicken. We grabbed a fresh baguette along with a small chicken and had lunch poolside on our first day. We avoided getting too much sun on our first day in town. The hotel is well kept. Our rooms were very clean and the staff do a great job keeping everything tidy. It also felt very safe. Carol helped us book an excursion The only negative comment is the noise that we heard later in the night from a club that is somewhere behind the hotel. The noise machine in the room did help a bit. We were not surprised by this as I had read similar comments before I booked. That said, I would stay here again without hesitation. The pros far outweigh that one issue.

Our kitchen had little ants or bugs running around on the floor and on the countertop.

We were able to park inside, where our car was protected and they had a nice pool. Breakfast was good, and staff were nice.

The birds are incredibly loud at 4am but my room did have a white noise machine which helped. This probably only affects the side by the skate park.

A beautiful oasis in the centre of Tamarindo, moments from the beach, shops and restaurants. Well run complex with cute rooms with patios round a lovely pool and gardens. Beautiful breakfast served at your own patio table.

A little noisy from such close proximity to clubs and busy roads, but was expected and the closeness was also a great benefit!

It was a bit noisy at night from a nearby club /Diskothek. However, the room had a white noise device that helped a lot to cover the music.

The apartment was newly renovated and very clean. Lovely, well kept little pool area. Very convenient to walk to beach and restaurants. The bedroom had a new, quiet AC unit.

breakfast was only the typical Gaillo Pinto which had lost some of its novelty. There was no bar at the hotel but we got round this by buying a few drinks from the shop over the road.

clean and tidy room. staff helpful and polite and informative about what was around as well as providing a helpful map. pool was large and refreshing after a day at the beach. ideally located a short walk from the main strip of bars and restaurants and the beach. If you are looking for a surf lesson we highly recommend Patsy from club 33 surf shop. she was so patient and wonderful and got us up on the board in no time :)

It is noisy since it is right in town. If you sit outside at the end of the day you can hear nightclub music pretty loud. But i have to say with windows closed and the sound of the AC, we did not hear it a lot in the room.

Good location because it is walking distance from the beach and the town. No need for a car. The pool with palm trees for shadow is amazing to have since it is very hot in Tamarindo. They had a boogie board available and chairs to borrow. Which is very appreciated. The staff is very helpful. The homemade breakfasts very very good. Really enjoyed that they bring breakfast at your own patio table when you are ready in the morning.

You can’t beat the price and location for what you get! The breakfast was good, the staff were helpful, communication with staff prior to arrival was real good, and location was great.

Parking on site is very limited although street parking right outside the hotel is plentiful.

This was a perfect fit for our quick trip to Tamarindo. Easy walking (a block from the Main Street) to all the shops and restaurants as well as the beach. Check in was easy and very efficient - including a tour of the unit ( we had a two bedroom by the pool) to show us all the options and amenities. Breakfast (def chose the room option that includes breakfast!) was a delight. Fresh coffee and fresh made typical (eggs, chorizo, beans and rice) were served on our outside table in the morning. Everything was fresh and delicious. The pool was clean and well cared for, and lush foliage helps create privacy between the pool and the units.
