Modest cabins with no air conditioning, but still a good value.

Wonderful setting, especially for nature lovers and bird watchers. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Convenient drive to nearby attractions. Good value.

The location is very nice in for seeing birds and plants. It is very quiet, as it is a few km out of town, near the Catarata La Fortuna. There is parking on site. It probably has a great view of Arenal but the weather was foggy and rainy while we were there, great for plants but not for views. The staff members were very friendly and helpful, and patient with limited Spanish speakers. The breakfast was a great way to start the day!

it wasn't dirty, but the cleanliness of the rooms could be improved a bit. There was a jacuzzi near the houses, but it was dirty and not turned on

The location was beautiful, great views of Volcan Arenal from the garden, and a very homely and peaceful setting. Freshly cooked breakfasts were included in the price. Convenient for visiting everything in the La Fortuna area. The owner was very helpful in sorting out a problem we needed help with.

It’s hard to get to if you don’t have a car. But what I really didn’t like the the lack of soundproof between the rooms. There was a child in the room next to ours who started crying and woke my kids up. Then the guest next door spoke on the phone and I could hear and understand every single word. Also value for money is not the worst but the next place we stayed at in La fortuna was much better value wise. Be prepared, they accept cash only.

Highly recommend if you want to be close to nature. Restaurants nearby and short drive to town. Staff helpful. Amazing for bird watching

We had a wonderful stay at Tío Felix. The garden area is beautiful, with a great view of the volcano. We were lucky to see toucans in the garden on several occasions. We travelled without a car and were able to walk 20min to the local waterfall and about 30min to a range of good restaurants. The breakfast in the morning is good. The whole family is very nice and helpful, they run a taxi service which is very helpful to get to tourist activities around La Fortuna. The cabins are basic but very comfortable with everything you need. Multiple fans in the room made it comfortable even in the heat.

The location is amazing, you can see the Arenal Volcano. The staff was nice. It is a family owned and managed place. There is a small field with a goal to play football.

The light in the bathroom could have been a bit better. Locationwise, it is a 5 minute drive from the centre, but with the car absolutely no problem.

The view from the terrace is very beautiful, with the garden and the view of Arenal right in front of you. We spent some hours there, just enjoying it. The breakfast (typical tico) was simple but really yummy, too. In our room, we had everything we needed, small refrigerator, storage.

The view is beautiful! The room was spacious and the garden is really cute. It is a good place to stay for a night or 2. Very close to La Fortuna Waterfall and the city.

The landscape is amazing with a view to the Arenal volcano. The lodge is located in the countryside outside the city. Very quiet and peaceful.
