Villas no. 6 and 7 are right behind the one road that goes in and out of town. At 5am ish and then again a bit later, you'll hear motorbikes, cars and busses etc. If you need a good night's rest, best to request a villa that's further in the back of the areal.

We had such a wonderful time and were lucky to stay at villa (#7) that was only recently built. Berenice at the "reception" was such a great help by providing the best local dinner and activity information which we gladly made use off. Parking behind the fence and Internet were great too. The premise is very green with chickens, a pair of Tucan, birds and colorful plants and flowers. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi and prepared breakfast at the outdoor kitchen where coffee and eggs from the chickens were for free. By taxi/Uber it was just a couple minutes ride into La Fortuna but we can also recommend the restaurants opposite of Villa Tucan. We can highly recommend Villa Tucan and Berenice as a host.

Nothing to dislike.

We loved everything about the Villa Tucan, the room were just wonderful, one of the best showers I've ever been in. The family that owns the hotel are incredibly gracious and so nice to be around. The hotel gardens and pool were just wonderful I can't say enough about what a wonderful place the villas are to have as your base when you're exploring this beautiful area. After one day we felt like we were at home every time we came in through the gate.

This is an ideal holiday base. Spacious, modern with excellent mattersses and linen. The shared kitchen dining area is well appointed and equipped. The grounds are well kept and intelligently laid out to maximise privacy and peace. We did not use the pool/hot tub but it too was clean and well maintained. All in all I feel lucky to have stayed here.

Great location. Very clean and comfortable new rooms. The grounds are gorgeous. The host family is super nice and helpful. They really go the extra mile to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. Beds are really comfortable. The bathroom and shower work great. WiFi is strong in the rooms. We stayed three nights and loved it!

Nothing!!! It was a wonderful retreat right outside of La Fortuna and walking distance to many amazing dinning options. Berenice was so helpful with recommendations and setting up tours if needed. She was very helpful in recognizing the needs of my family and assisting us.

The property was beautiful from the landscaping to the many hummingbirds right outside our door. My kids and I loved sitting on the porch and enjoyed the rocking chair and hammock in the evening while listening to the rain. The rooms were clean, beds comfy, warm shower. The pool and hot tub were wonderful after a hike or other adventures in the area. Our host Berenice was amazing!

It is easy to hear everything in the neighboring room. I also wish there was lattice or something separating the doors and porches so they felt a little more private. That would be pure perfection.

Absolutely beautiful grounds! Room was great with a nice large bathroom-very clean. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Pool area is just stunning and the little covered porch area outside the door was wonderful for morning coffee and watching hummingbirds and butterflies.

Berenice does an incredible job communicating with folks staying at her property. The rooms are new, the beds are comfortable, the AC works well, the pool and hot tub are excellent, and the views of Arenal and the birds are wonderful.

Villa Tucan is in a great location. I traveled with three teenagers and they had a great time wandering the town and shops nearby. There's many great restaurants a short drive or walk away. It's also conveniently located near all if the top sights. Bernice was great and helped with our excursions.

If youre looking for a beautiful, quiet, small hotel with and individual and thoughtful service, this is the place for you. I loved chilling in the hammock watching the birds and butterflies in the garden. i also enjoyed making breakfast or cacao in the spotless clean common kitchen. All the rooms are brand new. In 5 weeks travelling central america, this was the best place i stayed in - with a lot of Peace and quiet in the room and Garden and all the Restaurants and excitement when you step out. For me, this was a great mix.

We really enjoyed our stay in villa Tucan. Restaurants and shops (supermarket, bakerey, etc.) can be found nearby, the centre of la Fortuna is just a few minutes by car. The garden and the pool are great: many fruit-trees, a lot of birds and the pool and jacuzzi were perfect for relaxing after a day of activities. Berenice and her family did all to make our stay as nice as possible

Everything was perfect. Berenice is an awesome host. We felt very safe. The way the property is maintained is amazing. So beautiful with plants, trees and birds. You wake up the morning to birds chirping. We enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub. Very nice restaurants in walking distance.
