The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was private and quiet. We were able to see monkeys and lots of birds from the terrace. The breakfast was really good.

Maybe get a latch so door to balcony shuts without locking ?

This is an absolute gem . An oasis garden and pool Area and rooms set in jungle . We saw more animals here than in the National park . All monkeys and lots of birds . Great staff and bartender amazing . Would highly recommend .

The hotel has beautiful gardens and swimming pool. The room was fantastic with a very comfortable bed, sitting area, small,well equipped kitchen and a terrace with an ocean view which included a table and chairs, sofa and chairs . The location is close to very good restaurants ( walking distance) and the breakfast was good. There is lively artwork throughout the rooms and bar/breakfast/pool area. This is a tranquil, beautiful place which has incredible gardens and nice ocean views.

We wanted a pool, our own kitchen, and to be close to a bus stop and the national park. Villas Nicholas ticked all our requirements. Our apartment was down a lot of steps, and tbh it didn’t look quite as ‘posh’ as some of the photos on booking.com. Nevertheless we were more than happy because it was extremely comfortable and also a long way from the road so there was zero traffic noise. Sitting on the terrace surrounded by jungle plants and with a distant sea view was idyllic. Howler and white faced monkeys passed by there regularly every day, we watched hummingbirds feeding, and we saw a sloth close up, right outside in the street one evening. There is a pair of scarlet macaws hanging out in a dead tree stump, right by the reception! Very pleasant and friendly staff, and a small pool for relaxing. Shops and restaurants walking distance. Fifteen minutes down the hill by bus to Manuel Antonio NP.

Thank you Dennis and team for an amazing stay. A beautiful, peaceful, and private oasis that is so well integrated into the natural environment. Easy access to all amenities. Perfect for couples / friends looking for a quiet escape. Amazing pool and outdoor lounge area. Great views from upper villas. Howler and squirrel monkeys playing in the trees morning and night, the resident scarlet macaws and abundance of birds and wildlife that call this place home - amazing!!!

Can’t think of anything. Well there are stairs to some rooms so if this is an issue for you maybe check with them.

The view was incredible on our balcony. Monkeys on our porch and swinging in trees and water in the distance. Staff so nice. Breakfast great. I will definitely come back. Walk to great restaurants. Took public bus to beach. Taxi home. Guides know where it is to pick you up. The monkeys and toucans were fabulous. Oh and the pool. No kids is nice.

Everything was great!

The jungle ambiance was so beautiful. Enjoyed getting the day started with a light patio breakfast around the pool and being able to witness sloths and macaws and monkeys.

Nothing! Just as mentioned in other reviews, if you don't like using stairs, there are a couple of steps.

Oh what a wonderful place! My sister and I enjoyed our short stay, perfectly located close to the bus stops towards the beaches but also to Quepos, Hotel Villas Nicolas was a tranquil and beautiful way to end our stay in Costa Rica. The staff was friendly and super helpful, the breakfast was delicious, the room was clean and comfortable and the views were stunning.

The pool with the amazing plants throughout the property were amazing. I loved our room with a private balcony and hammock and when I come back to Manuel Antonio I'll definitely be staying here! Staff was so nice and friendly, everything was amazing.

The original apartment smelt a bit damp but when we asked for a change this was done swiftly with no trouble. The two chairs on the balcony were a bit upright and uncomfortable but this is probably personal preference.

Convenient location, yet felt very private and quiet. Views out from the balcony to the sea and the forest with wildlife. The apartment was very well kitted out with the kitchen facilities. It was great to have a balcony and hammock. Staff were all very nice, helpful and welcoming especially Dennis.

Charming hotel, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent service throughout. I saw more wildlife at the hotel than in the Manuel Antonio park.
