We didn't realise there wasn't an elevator, and we were on the 3rd floor. We had heavy bags and were only staying a night, so we took out what we needed and ended up leaving most of our luggage in the car.

The view from the room, restaurant, and pool was amazing. At the right time, the whale's tail could be seen from the restaurant! The room furnishings were basic, but the bed was comfortable, AC was cold, and the shower had nice hot water. They upgraded us from the lower building to the upper building so that was great which made it closer to the restaurant and had a higher/better view. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a spectacular rainbow in the morning!

The rooms are dated but perfectly sufficient and are super clean. The road to the hotel is steep but in good condition and no problem.

What a great little hotel with a fab view and lovely pool area (lots of birds flying by). If you have a spare day on your trip, this would be a great place to relax by the pool. We only stayed one night, but could easily have spent 2 here. Great restaurant and staff were super helpful & friendly.

The room as well as most of the facilities feel a bit dated (in need of a bit of TLC).

The view was amazing. The room had a balcony overlooking the sea, fantastic views of the sunset. The pool area was fantastic as well, the view on the sea was incredible. The price was very reasonable for the location and facilities.

The rooms (standard room) could use an update The furniture is old and used The breakfast wasnt really good, you have to pick one out of 3-4 Meals, the portion isnt big and to get some more cost extra. A buffet would be much better!

The access road is rather steep and not in the best state of repair. The flight of stairs connecting the accommodation blocks to the pool area is bit of a challenge. The rooms, although entirely adequate, are rather 'tired' and dated. The Internet in our room was hopeless.

The rooms are a bit dated, especially the bathrooms, but the setting of the hotel and attentive staff more than make up for it.

The pool and bar area are fantastic. Stunning views of Ballena national park. Waking up to dozens of varieties of birds and animals, including a toucan perched right in front of our balcony.

Receptionist was not always available. Room above had noisy guests which we reported and later learned that they were heavily doing drugs which now rates the whole place as poor. Other guests were also undesirable which makes one think that the hotel attracts wrong people.

Hotel is located really far away from anything and one must have a car to get there. They don’t have transfers and it is impossible to get an Uber to that location. So one should plan the trip carefully

The villa is located far away from civilization. It is perfect for get away type of holiday, when you want to be far away from people. The views are really amazing from here and you can see the National park and the beach. Enjoy amazing sunsets!

It is hard not to like something but I will say that this property could be managed in a little more professional manner, i.e., Update the room decor which is old and has occasional ants, the door lock is old, Also, this being a pure pura vida life and view and the staff being amazing, I think somebody could eventually attract the neighbour's and invest into paving the road all the way and have a more streamlined offer to transportation in town. The food is very tasty and natural, but I selection is a little better at other resorts ( including coffee, which should be featured and not an afterthought). Maybe I'm envisioning / hoping this resort eventually being a 5 star! But as it is now, it is an ah-mazing, breathtaking experience.

Amazing view, friendly staff, they went above and beyond to make our stay the best it can be. The view and the sunsets may be the best that you will ever see in your life. We were a group of 6 and we spent Thanksgiving and my birthday. The attention to detail for our dinner reservation, as well as the nice touches, flowers, the sunset cocktail, were gorgeous. The friendly staff during breakfast and dinners, they all made us feel like pura vida. 2 family members got a massage which was outstanding. Every member of the team is willing to share the traditions, CR lifestyle, with a smile on their face.
