The lack of AC, the camera in the dorm, the old bathroom

The swimming pool is awesome! The new bathrooms are perfect,the old ones should be renovated. The room was okay but it was a bit hot as the dorm was full and just fans, no AC but it was okay

Love how strict the no noise after 22 pm rule was. The location was great and the fact that there was camera security for the lockers in the dorm is amazing! The pool and kitchen where also clean.

Very hot and some beds did not get the breeze of the ceiling fan. A couple of floor fans would make a big difference.

My room was small and with no window.

It's a very nice place with a beautyful outside area with a pool to cool down. Also the covered rooftop with a lotof possibilities to hang out is amazing. There's a restaurant next to the hostel with a connection so you can order food from inside the hostel and eat at the pool.

In shower I could’t get hot water, but it was warm enough because wheather was do hot.

Nice garden and pool. Shared kitchen look good as well, but I ate often in restaurant what was very good and there was excellent service. Just some blocks to the beach street and good grozery very near. Room was OK. The air-condition was necessary cause it was 30C+ whole week. Friger in the room was very nice. All tours and transfer pick from Quepos so it’s good option for Manuel Antonio.

Electric socket was too far up the bedroom wall so my adaptor usually fell out of it. I didn't notice another point. Only 2 fridges in the kitchen; it would be great if they added a 3rd. No hot water in the showers - I didn't see this on the booking page, but a follow-up email from the hostel stated as such. Check-in lady said she thought there was warm water - there definitely wasn't, so washing hair wasn't the nicest. Slightly strange system that once you've made the booking, you need to confirm the booking via Whatsapp 3 days prior to arrival. I booked just 1 day ahead, and then had to immediately confirm. Don't expect an early check-in if you take an early bus, even if rooms are available. You can leave luggage in the storage room though.

I booked a private room which was basic but fine. Pedestal fan provided. Swimming pool was very warm and clean. Huge communal kitchen with plenty of crockery, cutlery, pans etc. Nice supermarket one street away. Unusually for a Costa Rica hostel, they accept card payment !

It’s a really amazing hostel with a very nice pool and common area to chill in, the kitchen is probably the best of any hostel I’ve been to, very well equipped and spacious and beautiful. Rooms are quite simple, but there’s lockers! Lots of shared bathrooms and staff very helpful. Perfectly situated in Quepos.

The initial impressions were not the best – the dorms are too warm (helps leaving the door open), sockets to charge electronics weirdly inside the lockers, and bathrooms neither the best or the cleanest. However, the staff (everyone from receptionists, security, cleaning to those working at the on-site restobar) and the common areas (stunning well-maintained pool and garden, big TV/reading terrace, superb kitchen) were so great that I ended up extending my stay. Even with some shortcomings, it would definitely be my choice if ever in the area again.

Staff could be much more engaging. No eye contact by Costa Ricans is the antithesis of those whom I met in my 7 months living down south. Incessant construction right above the pool. When it started, you couldn't have a conversation with the person next to you.

The pool area is really comfortable. The kitchen is big enough for the number of guests that can be accommodated in the hostel. The kitchen equipment and utensils were in good shape. It is just two minutes walk to the main bus station, where you can get the bus to go to Manuel Antonio.

No A/C in the rooms, only the fan on the ceiling, which means that if you are in the bottom bed there is no air. Cleanliness may improve in both the bathroom and the kitchen. The latter when I arrive was perfect but through the days it became a bit dirty

Staff is friendly and helpful, the space is beautiful and wide, with a lot of plants and a wonderful swimming pool. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathrooms are okay, and the room as well. The location was handy, it’s in the Main Street and very close to the supermarket, the farmers’ market and the sea

The construction noise from them adding onto their property is not ok. It seems they will keep working for at least another 6 months. The apartment could only be locked with a padlock which is a MAJOR safety hazard if there is a fire during the night. The shower is very worn and needs to be redone. There were pest droppings on top shelves in the kitchen cabinets. Otherwise the apartment was clean and comfortable.

Awesome pool and great restaurant on the premises. Nice cold AC in all the rooms (we rented the 2 br apartment. Apartment is roomy. Staff was very nice and accommodating.location is surprisingly quiet at night.

The private bathroom in my room was huge but had zero hooks or shelves for toiletries and towels.

The pool was great to cool off. The attached restaurant was well priced, convenient, and really good. It felt really secure. The staff were helpful to both k tours.
